1. Super Mario Galaxy 2

I finally got all 120 stars yesterday. Just started a new game with Luigi and I'm on 12. Not keen on how 'slippy' he is but this game is an absolute joy to play through and I can't wait to do it all again. All of the little, subtle touches that are dotted throughout the game really put that Nintendo trademark shine on it. It's not an exageration to say that no developer can perfect and take such care for a product on a level with Nintendo. The visuals, the music, the gameplay mechanics, the level design, the little graphical effects and neuances; Nothing else on the market comes close.
2. Wii General Discussion

I do. Every word. Very, very funny but oh so true and a sad reflection on modern gaming.
3. Hey! Listen! Press C^...

Happy Birthday!!!!
4. Colin McRae: DiRT 2

Colour me angry. Colour me confused. Colour me disappointed. Big thumbs down Codemasters, unless of course those are PSP shots (unlikely in NOM) and the Wii version is still under wraps. In which case... Colour me excited.
5. Formula 1 2009

I'm really worried for the future of motorsport if the two sides can't agree... Splits have destroyed sports in the past, look at Boxing and Indy Car racing in the States Doesn't really bode well. In the end though, if there is a breakaway series then I will probably follow that above and FIA sanctioned division which will inevitably suffer from the lack of the biggest names. Whatever happens before the 19th of June I think FOTA should definately own the rights to the sport and NOT Bernie Ecclestone no matter how much he may or may not have done for the sport and contributed to it's growth over the past 25 years or so, it was purely to line his own pockets and he NEEDS to go. Max Mosley on the other hand, whilst I applaud his ambition to cut costs, increase sustainability and the have the utmost admiration for his efforts in increasing safety, I think he's too out of touch with the sport now. Saying things like 'F1 can cope without Ferrari,' is not necesserily naive, it's just ignorant of what the manufacturer brings to the table. Of course F1 COULD survive without Ferrari, but, as the most prestigious name in the sport with such a rich history (and an unlimited budget) they provide a suitable milestone to which the other teams can work towards surpassing and measuring themselves against. They are arguably the best in the world and should rightly be in the pinnacle of motorsport. I am still fully undecided on the budget cap, in one respect I think it levels the playing field in a fair and effective way which rewards technical expertise and not huge spending power. On the other hand, tighter regulations on (and maybe even standardised) aerodynamics seems a much better way to move forward. Let the teams focus on the chassis and engine to gain performance, instead of the wings etc. The next few weeks will be interesting in a season that has seen a great deal more of action off the track than on it, quite sad really.
6. Formula 1 2009

James Allen's EXCELLENT blog reveals all. http://allenonf1.wordpress.com/ Usually updated 3-4 times a day, it really shows off his excellent journo skills. Legard is crap, I miss him lol Make sure you bookmark it, filters out a lot of the crap that "news" sites such Autosport often have.
7. EA Sports: Grand Slam Tennis!

I think after everything I've read on here I might give it a miss. Seems like motion plus isn't making the impact everyone thought it would. In that case I'm going to get Tiger Woods and Wii Sport Resort and maybe pick this up later from the bargain bins. Muchas thanks for the advice though. I'm so low on cash it's unreal but I always trust my estemeed n-e/f buddies
8. European Elections

Ok, had those remarks not been made, would you have voted for them, despite being aware of their questionable policies? You are correct that the other parties need to worry but I don't think it's the best way to go about it. It's a sad day for politics when something our ancestors faught so bravely to defeat has come back to represent us only 2 generations later. While I agree to an extent with what you're saying I think this should be disucssed in the War thread. I'll happily discuss it with you and I think we'll agree more on it lol.
9. European Elections

OK, so denying the holocaust, hating Jews and Muslims, wanting to create a racially segregated society IN 2009 FFS, going to America and being associated with and giving speeches to the KKK, openly talking about how to brainwash the public and generally having a good old Nazi time isn't evil anymore... (I'll provide links for all if nessecary) No I haven't, can you please tell me more about them. ARE YOU SERIOUS!? Go and read the BNP's own website. How incredibly naive... Not one person has insulted your intelligence... You would go against everything you stand for just to vote out labour... So despite the fact The World is in a mess it's Labours fault? Financial regulation would have to come worldwide, initially from the US, otherwise the UK would be avoided by lots of institutions. Just because Labour have destroyed Britain doesn't mean you should go vote for the BNP. Look at the options I gave you in the last posts, Labour and the BNP aren't the only party that represent the working man. Plus the Tories would cut public spending, which is not really great for the working man. The BNP would make Britain into a fortress, a fortress that would deter any company or corparation from ever coming here. They want a BAN on ALL foreign imports. That means: No Wii's, Playstations, iPods, Cars, food. The UK's economy would collapse overnight. Even North Korea imports (well their cunt of a leader does). No country can be self-sufficient and keep up with the rest of the globalised world. Yet more proof that the BNP's policies are ridiculous... Well if you don't know, why don't you go read something that's not a published in the British Media. It's readily available from the Internet or the library and the general concensus amongst most statiticians and commentators is that the UK is much harder to get into than Australia and the US. Being an island helps massively. The UK media has a perception that Australia is impossible to get into and we should base ourselves in it's model, when in fact a much greater percentage of their population and economy is built on immigration. In fact no, scratch that the whole damn country is filled with immigrants. British immigrants. Crossing into the UK is much easier and often cheaper on a plane than it is on a boat and much less dangerous than on a raft. Asylum seekers don't just walk to the country they're seeking asylum as that's sometimes even more dangerous. This is a common misconception. Every country in Europe can ''do as they wish,' the UK is no exception. EU law is law across the whole region not just in select parts of it. Europe poses numerous political problems for many people and it's up to those people to say whether they want to be a part of it or not in elections. If only 32% of people vote then mis-representation can occur and racist parties such as the BNP and those found in Holland, Hungary and other nations can get an undeserving foothold. I don't know enough about the war in Afghanistan to comment on this, but if you say it's a NATO operation then I agree, all NATO nations should have a presence. However, I thought that all NATO nations were fighting in Afghanistan and it was Iraq where the illegal war was taking place, where the only forces were the UK, US and Canada. Britain has ALWAYS looked after it's own citizens above everyone else. Again just because the papers say it doesn't, doesn't mean it's true. Why do you think their is a commonwealth? Because Britiain has been on a world-wide raping mission over the past 400 years so it could start and maintain the industrial revolution and be the first industrial superpower. Read or research some stuff on the British presence in Africa, India/Pakistan, Australia, The South Pacific etc. and then come back and tell me that Britain doesn't look out for itself over everyone else. The main reason we get immigrants in this country is because of where Britain has been, had an often devastating influence and left. Most people in Fiji still call England 'The Mother Land.' It's pretty much the British Empire's fault everyone wants to come here and I'm sure (and I'd fully support) people who were pissed off at what the Emipre did in the past and felt like they were owed something. What I am saying is this... "If you are aware, aware being the key word, (which you are) that the BNP is fundamentaly racist and you STILL choose to vote for them, you are a racist." There are no two ways about it. I've offered alternative political parties that suit and address your immigration and 'working man' issues and you have said that the BNP represents you best, so you are a racist.
10. European Elections

There are much, much better ways to register disgust at the immigration system than voting for a political party you know is racist. It would help a lot if the immigration system wasn't mis-represented by the media and the BNP, becuase as I mentioned it's very strict. Looking into other political parties views on this would be a start, the Conservatives have a much stronger stance than labour, as do UKIP obviously. They're at the other end of the economic spectrum though... The English Democrats have a very strong stance on immigartion and they are not racist. He has explained why he would vote for the BNP. The reason ignores the fact that he is voting for a party he knows to be racist. If he actually sat down and thought about what would consititute as a more effective protest vote or researched other parties stances on immigration I'm sure he would come to a better conclusion. But because the BNP is constantly getting a boner over banning immigration people flock to them like sheep and see re-partition as a 'drawback.' I'm sorry but it just seems to me that the vast majority of people that vote for the BNP are openly racist. Those who hide the fact they vote for them know they are racist which is why they don't admit it (as I'm certain a couple of my friends do ). However, I respect Danny for admiting he would vote for the BNP and I guess it shows a lot of balls to admit that on a public forum but too me it just comes across as racist, and the onus is on him to convince us otherwise (but this would mean chosing another political party, that shares his views but isn't racist - English Democrats? UKIP? Socialist Labour Party? Free England Party? Failing that, start your own).
11. European Elections

I can't find anything recent where Gordon proposed it but here's something from last week on what the SNP think... lol. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7433479.stm
12. European Elections

... How have they done it? Don't just say it. Explain how they've done it... Even when only a few months ago Gordon Brown drafted plans to intorduce a 'British Day' Supporting the BNP, when you know what they stand for means you are a racist. Nobody here once suggested that you wanted to. Being a racist doesn't automatically mean you are violent. You know that voting for the BNP would see them sent away, yet that doesn't matter to you. You would still vote for the BNP, so obviously you have very little regard for these people. Financially they have, yes. I think you'll find though that the fact people can't get jobs is due to corporations breaking employment laws and the diabolical state of the economy not because Labour have 'opened the floodgates' as the BNP profess. This statement shows your ignorance. Just because you don't agree with the immigration laws doesn't mean you're a racist and I never suggested that's why I thought you were... Britain is one of the most difficult countries in the Western world to get into with many people (especially workers) needing to apply months in advance and even often getting rejected. While this applies to non-EU nations, the EU workers and immigration laws are extremely lax across the whole of Europe, not just the UK. It just happens to be that the UK is one of the most attractive and lucrative places to come (as I mentioned the illegal nature of the way many corporations operate in this country make getting a job for migrant workers much, much easier). It's important for Britain to harbour Asylum Seekers as they are escaping the most unimaginable circumstances, yet maybe this could be regulated better and refugees distibuted evenly between all EU nation states and the US. Just because the tabliod news papers or your TV channels say immigrtion is out of control doesn't mean it is. All forms of media have political agenda's. Especially outlets like The Sun, The Star and the Daily Mail. They often exaggerate stories or publish outright lies to sell more copies and create a culture of fear. There are numerous political parties that represent the working man. One such party is the Socialist Labour Party which is fronted by Arthur Scargill. If you do a little research you will find a party which represents the working man (which let's face it, is the majority of the country). Just because the BNP claim this, do you not think it may be to hide some of their lies and appeal to a broader spectrum? While apathy is major issue, which I hope isn't repeated as severly at the generals, voting for a racist party is never a suitable protest. Like I said above, do some research and find a party that represents your beliefs and if you still conclue the BNP is the best, then it looks like you are indeed a racist, sir.
13. European Elections

Not really a protest vote though is it? Not voting would be a protest. Voting for the a bunch of racists would simply display complete ignorance and idiocy. You know what they stand for and yet you still 'would have' voted for them. Anyone who had any issue with the BNP's core values not just the stuff you mentioned above, would NEVER vote for them no matter what the state of politics was and consequnetially you've just proven yourself to be a racist by saying you would support them (agree with them) as a protest. Please forgive me if I disregard or ignore anything else you add to this discussion. By all means say what you want but please don't expect me to read it. I don't have time for people who think in that way. I don't think it's far from the truth to say the BNP are one of the most evil 'groups' that inhabit this earth. I think the things they have said and what many of their members and representatives have done in the past is sickening. The fact that some of them openly support Adolf Hitler and the destruction of the Jews says enough. They feed off of the fears and insecurities of vulnerable people to spread they're political bollocks and want to sepearate the country by skin colour. All of this is hidden behind deceptive language and smart suits. Danny, I think it's fair to say some of the things your are saying are really showing a great deal of ignorance and you're beginning to annoy me with some of the provacative things you are saying. Telling forum members to lay off the drugs, as you did to me in another thread 2 weeks ago is just stupid. Sure, you're entitled to your opinion but just because the majority doesn;t agree with you doesn't mean we're all on drugs. Stop dragging the topic down and dishing out insults.
14. Tiger Woods 2010 - MotionPlus Confirmed!

What!? That is Amazing! Congratulations EA for being a set of Wii loving hippies In all fairness, they'll probably get them on PS360 but I bet they'll have to pay for the privilage in DLC. So it's still win-win for the Wii gamer.
15. Inspired

Itch Fox - Amazing poet and lead singer of the King Blues. The Ted Kennedy speech is incredibly inspriational. Nice to know there are still people who are willing to stand up for the people with no voice.
16. Tiger Woods 2010 - MotionPlus Confirmed!

Well, well, well... This game had officially been 9.0'd by IGN's Matt Cassamassina. Link: http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/993/993199p1.html He claims, 'You will not find a better game of golf on any system, period'. Think I'm going to pick this up now .
17. European Elections

This is the 1st time in a while the BNP publicly announced where and when they were having a press conference and the idiots at the UAF did EXACTLY what the BNP wanted. Denied them free speach and commited acts of violence on them, turning the BNP into the victim. Congratu-fucking-lations UAF...
18. European Elections

Excellent post, and I agree with you even if this does seem to contridict my earlier post. The point I was trying to make is that the media seem to blow stories like this out of proportion to construct an opinion so the public don't have to. What would be better would be to provide a neutral platform (abroad if neccessary) for these people to speak and be challenged appropriatly rather than being mis-represneted in a false light whether it is more or less damaging to the individual in question. Yes, the goverment should ban them. What they shouldn't do, in my opinion is release lists to the media so that (like an unwanted forum member) they can blert "ZOMG l00k at dis razist cock!!!111," before blerting a load of 'facts' about them shrouded in the own political agenda and create a hysteria about somthing which could possibly affect racial tensions.
19. Holy S**t that looks absolutly incredible!
20. Though I'd post this in here instead of creating a new thread... Well, I'm considering a PS3 as a Wii successor at the moment... I must say I was amazed by the Motion demo they did and in my opinion it seemed more advanced than what the Wii offers. But then again I'm yet to experience Wii motion plus so I'm in no position to really comment. The game line-up on the PS3 has me much more excited than the Wii currently and the oppertunity to play games like GTA 4 and serious racers (which I am a massive fan of) is drawing me to the PS3. As well as that I didn't experience a PS2, but heard about games like SotC, God of War and Ico, so potentail sequals or PSN downloads of these games is something I'm looking out for. As well as FFVII on PSN, a game I've NEVER played... In fact I've already set aside £35 a week to get one hopefully. I just wish they'd announce a damn slim version which is cheaper. Thoughts?
21. Neologism Contest

Some of these are epic. Jography (n.) A graph that compares personal times in set distances of running over a period of time.
22. Weight Loss 2009

AWESOME! Wii Fit says I'm down to 9 Stone today! It took me 5 and a half months to lose 3 stone but I did it.. :) :) Now it's time to keep up the fitness and put on some muscle.
23. European Elections

What's ironic is that if the UK hadn't banned him and he recieved no media attention if and when he came then no-one would have batted an eyelid. Yet it's the media dictating where and when the public need to direct their hatred and outrage with their over the top coverage on matters such as this. All the while the governemnt is subtly censoring society by banning certain individuals from entering the country and taking away their right to freedom of speech, no matter how outlandish and out of date their views may be. Instead of having a balanced public discussion with the man in question, the government and the media would rather kick up a hysterical fuss because a few ethnic minorities might kick off and start rioting. When surely if this man would allowed to speak in an unbiased atmosphere, the minute he opened his mouth everyone would be able to dismiss and laugh at his barbaric views and challenege him to defend them, which he probably wouldn't be able to do very eloquently.
24. Formula 1 2009

Brilliant.
25. European Elections

I absolutley despised Russell Brand before I watched that. Now I have a sort of semi-respect for him but still think he's a weirdo. And yes, he dresses like a tool. This is a bit of a lolworthy slip and slice of Sky News ownage... The fact that 2.21% of the entire electorate voted for the BNP actually makes me feel a bit more at ease about this. If only people would actually get out and vote then there would be much more chance of them being stopped.
