  1. European Elections

If anyone decides to do that be very, very careful I've heard stories of IP's being traced and people being hunted down and attacked. These people are dangerous, violent thugs.
  2. European Elections

People are entitled to vote for the BNP if they so chose. If they feel represented by them, that is their choice. But when on a NATIONAL scale they get 2.21% of the electorate, yet win 2 out of 69 seats in European Parliament, something is wrong. As I said, I firmly believe that anyone who wanted to vote for the BNP did. People who chose not to vote could have countered this vastly minorty party's success by going to the polls. Voter apathy is what has allowed these norrow-minded idiots into power, what's really needed is compulsey voting like Australia has which would prevent 'mistakes' like this from happenening.
  3. European Elections

Yes, it can affect things greatly. I'm not going to pretend I understand European Parliament because I don't but... - The British National Party have some power and influence on a LEGITIMATE scale and platform. - They will recieve funding for being part of the European Parilament - They will be able to construct and distribute propaganda more easily dude to an increase in funds and power. - They will be able to easily and readily align themselves with other extremist right-wing parties in Europe. - The media is less likely to ignore them.
  4. European Elections

I just wrote this on a facebook note and thought I'd share... What amazes me is how Nick Griffin has adapted his speech to the mass public. I can see him catching a few more people if he gives speeches of that nature again. It's disgusting the way he disgueses his true feeling and manipulates language and ideas to represent himself and his party. Truly, truly sickening. He is selling 'freedom' and pushing for a dictatorship. What a truly dark day in British politics. His passion truly frightens me.
  5. European Elections

Just to make it clear, It was 120,000 BNP votes in Yorkshire and the Humber. The total may well be over 1 million by the time all the results come in.
  6. European Elections

I can't describe how fucking angry I am at the 120,000 retards living in my local area. I'm still shaking with anger. I can't find words.
  7. Formula 1 2009

Button Wins... Again! Fairly dull race this afternoon, though Barichello's escapades were certainly lolworthy.
  8. QFT. Such a pointless waste of time and effort arguing who's winning the 'war.' Just enjoy what ever console(s) you have and appreciate each game and console on it's own merit!
  9. Formula 1 2009

8 Drivers: Vettel, Massa, Button, Webber, Hamilton, Barichello, Raikkonen, Alonso Race Prediction: Vettel, Massa, Button EDIT: 'Charge' 5 times
  10. Formula 1 2009

The old Hockenheim doesn't exist anymore. The tarmac has been dug up and it's been re-planted as part of the forest.
  11. European Elections

I wrangled with Lib Dem and Greens for a couple of weeks before today and ended up going for Lib Dems because the Greens are a bit too Euroskeptic for my liking and I generally see Europe as a massively positive thing to be a part of.
  12. Formula 1 2009

Bloody hell, how many teams are actually trying to enter next year...???
  13. Did E3 convince you to buy another console?

That was the game that got my attention too. I might get one for Xmas but I much prefer the online infrastructure of a 360. Home is just gay and much of the current catalogue doesn't impress me much. I'll decide at xmas whether to go 360 or PS3 but I've got nearly 20 games I'm yet to finish on the Wii first, so I'll be busy with that. Plus it's my final year of uni next year so I doubt I'll have much gaming time. There's no way I'd get both, Crackdown 2 looked amazing and the 1st one is mint, I'd love to own that. Rare are on 360 including Banjo Tooie and PROBABLY Perfect Dark and Jet Force Gemini... But then the PS3 has FF14 and R* exclusives as well as Mod Racers Nation. This s going to be a tough choice. In short: Yes, it made me want a new console.
  14. Excitebots: Trick Racing

Doesn't look like this is going to make it to the EU after all. In the General Wii Discussion thread, the Summer release list courtesy of Nintendo is up and there is no mention of this game anywhere. I don't know whether I'm going to bother picking this up on import now, I've heard a lot of mixed reviews and I doubt I'll get it cheap enough to warrent a full purchase. Shame on Nintendo. I'm sure even i the sold 4,000 copies it would pay for the localisation.
  15. Endless Ocean 2: Adventures of the Deep

That trailer looks good, as do the screenshots. I had a brief go on the first one and the ex enjoyed it much more than me but it played nicely and seemed to have a lot of depth (ouch). As mentioned already if the RRP is £19.99, I'll be sure to pick it up.
  16. EA Sports: Grand Slam Tennis!

After seeing this at E3 I must say I've been put off a bit. I think I might wait until the reviews are in but I can see myself going for Virtua Tennis instead now. Somthing about this just doens't seem to feel right. It doesn't flow very well and there seems to be a slight lag when hitting a shot.
  17. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom

I'm torn whether to get this or get Street Fighter IV when I get a HD console... decisions..
  18. Zelda Wii: Does it need to change?

Yeah I saw that and I'm a bit disappointed but I'm sure Shigsy will deliver regardless of the style.
  19. Punch-Out!!

Whooo! I beat the game yesterday... finally! Took me an hour to train to beat Mr. Sandman but I finally did it with a 1st round TKO. However... Now I can't beat Glass Joe on title defense This game is brilliant! I never expected to get this much fun out of it coupled with the massive sense of achievement you get when you defeat another guy. Just goes to prove that there is still so much worth and value in retro games and they don't always have to be nostalgic.
  20. Zelda Wii: Does it need to change?

I'd also actually prefer another Cel-Shaded adventure to an "adult" one. The style and charatcer of Wind Waker was incredible and even today it stands out as one of the most beautiful games ever made. While I mentioned earlier that I'd like a steampunk take on Zelda, that is just a dream and I know it probably wouldn't be much of a success. I think the cel-shaded style adds so much to the feel and expression of the game. I would definatly like Nintendo to continue this design as it seems to suit the capabilities of the Wii so much better.
  21. Monthly Download Limit - Xbox Live?

Online gaming uses miniscule amounts of data downloads so I wouldn't worry about that. You might want to cut back on Demos and videos a bit if you download them regularly but you won't reach the cap online gaming.
  22. Zelda Wii: Does it need to change?

This. Followed by Miyamoto experiencing my cum face first hand.
  23. Neologism Contest

Dismember (v.) Violently remove / ban someone from a gaming forum.
  24. Formula 1 2009

Trust me, don't worry. F1 was amazing before they introduced refuelling. The races become about tyre management and tyre-tactics. Push too hard and you'll ruin a set, yet it is possible to drive consistantly well on one set for an entire race. Ayrton Senna pitted 7 times in one race (I forget which) too keep on fresh tyres and STILL won. There will be much more overtaking in my opinion, especially if they keep the 2 different tyre compounds per race rule. The heavy cars absoultly batter the tyres early on meaning anyone can stay out all race, thus jumping everyone who pits and have a horrific car to drive to the finish for the last few laps. It will demonstrate more creative tactics and promote high-quality defensive/offensive driving. Plus drivers know they can't win a race on fuel strategy so they have to go for it. I can't wait until next year.
  25. Zelda Wii: Does it need to change?

Thank you Edjamakated! That made fascinating reading. I agree completely with all of your sentiments that the new Zelda needs to shed it's structure of old, maybe even go back to the NES Zelda style of dumping you in a vast world with no set goals. I feel that the main thing Nintendo need to do is bring Hyrule to life, similar to Animal Crossing, each NPC has its own life to follow and shares it's stories with you based on how hit has acted, couple this with the emotion and depth of the interaction see in Majora's Mask and Nintendo are on to a winner. I feel it's important to capitalise on the Immersion this time. Hopefully the game will use WM+ which will add to the physical immersion felt by the player but Nintendo can do alot to evoke mental immersion by creating a gaming world that is fresh, unique and original. Nintendo have done a good job this generation in bringing the game into the room. Wii sports was only the beginning and now Nintendo need to push these basic ideas and formulas forward and enhance the gamers connection with the software. I for one am looking forward to E3, mainly because of the Zelda possibilities. I'm a massive fan of the all the home console installments and while OOT, MM and Wind Waker felt fresh, it is true that there was something stagnant about Twilight Princess, a great Zelda game, but little to stray from the formula. That's what made the others so great, even Wind Waker offered something so new and refreshing and is by far the most beautiful game of all time. The ball is in your court Nintendo, please deliver like no other developer can. /Fanboy mode
