  1. So why are you Racist?

You really believe that? As I understand it, this guy was replaced by someone who was willing to work for less, and he should have accepted lower pay to save this job? That's utter bullshit. What a greedy little company to do that. It s nothing to do with skill levels, just pure greed/more profits. He shouldn't have to do that at all. I used to love that when people were polite to me when I was part of the checkout massive. It brightens your day when someone does that, so on behalf of checkouts monkeys everywhere I can't say if I notice if every black comedian does it - but that guy played on it for the whole act, and it was still quite shitty.
  2. 31 is no age...

That's horrible, sorry to hear about it - especially at such a young age. Hope she's alright soon.
  3. PETA are (some of) the biggest bunch of wankers in the world, end of.
  4. Chickens!!

Its disgusting that the supermarkets have so much control of what we buy. The farmers are paid 3 pence a chicken. The supermarkets could easily make less of a profit (ie pay the farmer more) and make a bit less to ensure that the chickens have a healthier lifestyle. I think that if you're going to eat the poor bugger you may as well look after it while its alive rather than treat it cruelly. Although saying that, being a poor student its hard to afford the decent stuff - just hope the butchers use quality chickens instead! It was quite shocking how much battery farmed eggs were in everyday goods.. something that should be stamped out imo. As for the executions, didn't really change my mind on eating chicken. It looks painless so I doubt the animal is suffering much.. and it is a damn tasty meat. Breast ftw! EDIT: Anyone else notice that the supermarkets who make the biggest profits (ASDA and Tesco) were the ones who refused to change their chickens over to the RSPCA assured variety? No wonder they make so much profit the money hungry *****.
  5. Cautionary Measures

There's a difference from someone tearing apart someone's taste in music and posting a definition. Tbh, I wouldn't care, but he's one of those people who were going on that the Epic thread was the best thing ever. But when the admins thought about banning Ashmat he was pleading for them not to..
  6. Cautionary Measures

Pre-fixed with "haha"? The manner in which he posted the definition was intended to take the piss. Mate, of all the staff I've issued the least infractions. I try to just delete posts and let things slide a little so that people don't complain "lol oh noes nazi mods!" it really just fucks me off when someone tries to be a cheeky obnoxious **** whilst claiming he's staying in the rules.
  7. Cautionary Measures

Looking for a ban or something?
  8. Cautionary Measures

Damn, I didn't get one either Ahwell, I guess trying to spam a Nintendo forum (that they're still upset about being banned from) beats whacking off one to anime on a Friday night..
  9. What's with all the spamming?

I think this thread is becoming what the title suggests. Bye.
  10. Things To Do

Bitch! So do I! .. I always have work
  11. Things To Do

Just sit happy in the knowledge that some students have been back for a week now and have a list of shit to do as long as my... arm..
  12. Stocka here, hey

Hey Stocka, good to hear from you & glad you're having a good time!
  13. Dogs

I have two mongrels, quite cute dogs and very lovely. Tilly is sort of a Manc Terrier/Jack Russel/other things, and Bingo is a mix of things. I love mongrel dogs though.. individual and genetically superior
  14. Michael Moore's Sicko

Pay thousands for treatment then.. sell your house to afford prescriptions.. The NHS is great - sureit isn't perfect but its a hell of a lot better than having insurance - which they manipulate to suit their needs. American private medicine is sickening. I dunno if I'll watch this. I think its a good point but I just don't trust anything MM says any more, he spins it far too much.
  15. Tips for Losing Weight

Basically: Exercise - you need something to use up your daily calories/force your liver into burning some fat up. If you skip meals your body thinks (correctly) its being starved and will store more. So get running, do some weights, play a sport, whatever - but get off the computer and do something that breaks a sweat, and stick with it! Food - watch what you eat. Cut out high calorie foods (ones with lots of fat and sugar -includes lots of fruit) and eat regularly. Eat three meals a day and try shift the emphasis on breakfast. Cut try to healthily cut down the calorie intake to a couple of hundred less each day. Doing that: the weight will go and with the exercise may build a bit of muscle too - so don't be dismayed if you're weight doesn't change much. As long as the flab does then your just replacing fat with muscle which is perfectly healthy. If you don't follow that then you will never lose a lot, and any you do will be unhealthy. Plus by starving yourself the fat goes, and so does muscle too. So next Xmas, you'll just put more fat back. If the weight fat still doesn't go - consider a thyroid function test. Don't kid yourself: maintain exercise and eat a healthy diet. Fact.
  16. Biggest Change in your life?

Then why post?! Not sure for me, I guess university - life took a good turn in the favourable direction. Long may it last.
  17. Nearly did once in uni. I had a viral infection, hadn't eaten or drank in nearly a day and was standing in a hot room. Its a pretty horrible feeling, especially when your heart kicks in to keep you conscious!
  18. The General Public mkII

I found a wallet with £50 in and handed it into the coppers. The guy came round next day thanking me for handing it in, made it worthwhile really to see how grateful he was.
  19. What you got list

I got: 50 quid, pyjama bottoms, leather gloves, a cafeteria (sp?), chocolate, diary and the obligatory shower set. Good little hawl me thinks. Be grateful. It may be a mug, but some thought, time and expense went to that..
  20. Merry Christmas Eve

Happy Christmas Eve! Catching up on uni work for me!
  21. Have you ever met anyone off the Internet?

I met Mr_Odwin, he's a nice house guest. Brought Celebrations and Schloer, and even made his bed in the morning. A++
  22. Should Gym Be Optional in high school?

Deffo compulsary. At the time, I hated PE. I was one of those no-talented people who never really did well. However, since coming to uni I'm enjoying sports. I'm not the greatest by any stretch - the mentality of it has changed though. There's no nobs who want to make you look an idiot, instead there's friends who want to help you progress. And sport is fun now! If kids are getting fatter then they need to be forced to do some kind of sport, but get rid of the mentality that you have to be amazing to do it, PE teachers should make it fun and have less pressure put on it.
  23. Work! Essays! Exams!

I've gotten to the point where I constantly have something to do, and have done since September, you just get used to it. My best advice would be to just knuckle down and do it, its the only way it'll get done. Try to think of things to influence and motivate you to do well! My favourite thought is the sun shining on my face after the last exam sitting in the beer garden of my local - maybe a bit sad ahwell! Good luck!
