Sorry for the double post
Just finished Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. It was a game I was meaning to get around to, and for what it is, I'm glad to have played it. Controls were a little frustrating in parts, but looking past that there is a beautiful and magical story.

I had this game with the NES (along with Duck Hunt). Technically, it was the family console as my Dad got it for us all to use (i primarily used it). Had many, many great hours playing 2 player (i was always Luigi), couldn't do better than my Dad when we took it in turns, even though i could see the level as he was playing. Even when i had a Mega Drive, i was still hooked on Super Mario Brothers. It took me until just before i got an N64 to finally defeat Bowser, must have been 8 years or so of playing on/off to do so. Learned many of the warp pipes.
Duck Hunt got a lot of play time, but i hold a place in my gaming heart for Super Mario Brothers. Never played Super Mario Brothers 2 or 3 on the NES, didn't play either until the Wii VC.

How can I join? May I join? I want to join!I believe you are already a member of the N-E Destiny Clan. To complete, i believe you just need link your Companion profile to the clan.

Just about to buy the 2nd DLC course myself. Got a little distracted on Final Fantasy XV, so got up a bit earlier today to get a round of golf in before work.

Will wait for all the episodes to be out before buying as per usual.

1 hour ago, Babooo said:I enjoyed this game. Does anyone like the short length of the game or is that just me? I find games these days too long as I get older and have less time for gaming. Really thought the story, dialogue and graphics were very good indeed. Naughty Dog, I salute you.....(but please do something different next time!)
P.S Nice to see my name in the credits....GUESS WHERE I WORK
Playing a game at this length was perfect for what it was. Long games are good, but not all the time.

Rumoured for PS+ next month (thanks to a small leak from Sony themselves it would seem)
Think we'll find out officially tomorrow, but Child of Light is a great game.

Pre-loading this as i type.

Went to collect a parcel from the Royal Mail sorting office on Saturday morning, they wouldn't accept my ID as it was 1 day out of date (new one was on it's way), even though it had my name and address on. Didn't know they were getting this strict on post, but then they couldn't be bothered to deliver it as i was on my late cover in work when the postman arrived and posted the letters (and the slip) through the door as i was just leaving the house.
Yesterday, had to spend 4 hours on the phone to both my bank and o2. Reason, o2 sent me an automated text at 5am saying my accounts password and security answer had been changed, and if it wasn't me who requested it then i'd need to contact o2. First thing i do once the bank call centre opened, called them to cancel all my o2 direct debits and any pending payments. Luckily, no pending payments so that was good. Then spend the next part of a few hours on hold to o2 (both phone and online chat) before i got through to someone. Who explained to me it was a system error which caused the messages to go out, and my account was fine. Wasn't best pleased to say the least, so i got the transcript request in with them confirming it was an error. Decided to file a complaint in regarding it on the request of my girlfriend and a few mates.

I knew this would happen, but so soon though. The 3DS still has games coming for it, and as it's been said already, there will be 3DS consoles and games bought for Christmas. And without Miiverse (which is a family friendly environment, perfect for the younger gamer), they won't be able to share favorite moments in-game with everyone.
It sucks, but what can you do.

Finished Uncharted: The Lost Legacy on Sunday. I gave some thoughts to the game in the thread, but i enjoyed this spin-off a lot.
-
SpoilerPetyr Baelish finally being caught out and executed. It was a long time coming.
I was wondering how the Night King and the Undead were to get around the Wall issue, but then Viserion is now undead so that helped a lot. If you can't go around, go through it would seem.
Jaimie finally figuring out his sister is just mental, he's off to the North as a traitor and to re-join Tyrion it would seem. And all Cersai has left is The Mountain and the Bank, no troops.
Alfie Allen being kicked in the (now void) area. I flinched at first, but after 3 knees I figured out. At least he has the remainder of the fleet on his side now.

Finished this on Sunday night. Overall, a pretty darn good spin-off. Decent story to it.
SpoilerSome people were saying the puzzle in Chapter 5 (the moving the pieces to fill in the shadows) was the toughest, which i can agree on. The puzzle to get the water flowing to open the gate in Chapter 4 (the statues) was challenging. Listening to the conversations between Chloe and Nadine as you are exploring is interesting, and a few moments stood out.
Have to give it to Naughty Dog, if this is what a Nathan Drake-less Uncharted feels like, then i'm all for that.

It's a shame the meet didn't work as planned this year, however i hope that those that did go had a good time regardless. Me, it was purely down to finances as to why i didn't go this year.

I very nearly watched Episode 6 last week, but chose not to. Somehow managed to avoid spoilers to the best part (bar 1 small gif)
SpoilerThe gif showed the now under the White Walker control Viscerion. Didn't know it was him, thought it was Drogon. Overall a very good episode, was talking to a friend last week who said one dragon is bound to be killed. He thought it would be Cersai and the Lannisters taking one out, but that might happen still. Which would make my theory work in a possible final battle between the White Walkers and everyone else. Drogon (w/t Dany) vs Viscerion (w/t Night King) in the air, whilst everyone else is fighting below.
He also said there could be an upcoming battle between the Hound and the undead Mountain in Kings Landing, sort of Cersai taking out someone who just abandoned the late King Joffery in the battle for Kings Landing (think it was season 3 it happened, the one that Tyrion got his scar).
Arya is certainly playing Littlefinger, of which he thinks he's playing her.
Going to be an interesting final episode next week.

I reached chapter 5 before heading to bed.
SpoilerThe statue puzzle in chapter 4 is a little tricky, timing is critical to get through to the lever. Have heard there is a challenging puzzle in chapter 5. Driving around is decent enough, listening to the conversations between the girls. Did hear a few bits about the Drakes during one drive around.
Claimed my Jax and Daxter just before i went to bed, that's next once i've finished Lost Legacy.

I'll be happy if they don't mess it up like Microsoft did with the 360 and Kinect, but i honestly doubt they would. That's You is a perfect indication of a game for those who don't game as much, aka a nice party game. As long as Sony balance it fine with games for all, that's good. Just as long as they don't replace the PS+ titles with them, that's ok.
-
Game arrived today, even has a code for "That's You". Considering it's free for PS+ players.
Edit: Put in a few hours earlier, i'm enjoying this.

Shopto sent me an email saying that Jax and Daxter codes are not valid until the 23rd, just in case the game arrives early.
-
And adding Rise of the Tomb Raider to the list of completed games. Overall, a good sequel.

It's been a long time coming, but i finally finished Pokemon Soul Silver (including the Kanto League). Going back to a Pokemon game after the improvements in later games, it's a tougher experience. But all good fun none the less, which is what i like. How i normally play these is thus, i choose anything up to 3 last gen Pokemon for my team and the rest is made of Pokemon new to the game.
