  1. Was going to wait until i finished Odyssey, but decided to put it on hold until after Red Dead is done. Game is at home (my partner is installing it for me for when i get home this evening)
  2. Pokémon Go! (Android/iOS)

Only one solution is to report them to Niantic, probably find they are spoofing to the location. On the last community day, went around with a number of people in the Newport group. Was pretty good, kept doing loops around from the river to the castle via the Salvation Army building.
  3. General Switch Discussion

Smaller forums are dying off slowly. N-E is one such forum, and it's down to a few things which include (and not limited to) Social Media Lifestyle They are the big two i think. With lifestyle, that can fall with the fact that we've all grown older and life changes for many of us. More responsibilities meaning less time for the hobbies we love. bob pointed that out himself. When we all joined up, most of us probably still lived at home with parents and didn't have a lot of responsibilites outside of making sure you got up, went to school/work etc. Now many of us have moved into our own places and have responsibilities. With that comes being more social with work colleagues, meeting new people and getting on with life. That is unfortunatly the way things are going for many. Many members don't come on often anymore for the above reason, and a few other reasons which are personal to them. You can't pursuade them to return, but many do when there is a direct or a big gaming event like E3 or a console reveal for a short while. Social Media (which includes YouTube here) is much easier to run a discussion about games. The likes of facebook have thousands, if not millions of gaming-related pages for people to be able to discuss what games to play and all that. Social media is also partially to blame for many gaming print medias being discontinued. Outside of some of the big forums about, which are thriving still, a lot of others are dying off. Many have moved onto social media platforms and members have followed, it is again how life is changing.
  4. Assassins Creed Odyssey

Opened up most of the 1st island, only have 1 question mark left to uncover. Reached level 5, so can now use the bow and sword i got from UPlay. Still need to clear out the hideouts on the 1st island, and get the treasures dotted around. Did notice Evie on the list in Uplay, so of course she's ready for when i get to the ship.
  5. Went for the standard edition myself, with the pre-order content for the War horse and Outlaw survival. Can't even justify spending upwards of £25-£30 more for a mission and a hide-out. Last hideout that was a pre-order for Red Dead wasn't that good of one, so doesn't seem i'm missing out.
  6. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

Heard about these messages causing system issues, mostly affecting people who had messages open to all. Those who had private (aka friends only) seemed to not be affected.
  7. Tried getting the Friday off to have a long weekend on this, but have had no luck. Can't wait for next week. Having some missions locked on the "Special Edition" is annoying. Rockstar will make a killing on the multiplayer, so i don't see a need for this to happen. Edit: Confirmed info that no-one should be getting this game early, Shopto sent out an email stating that Rockstar have imposed a restriction on early releases.
  8. Assassins Creed Odyssey

Made a start last night. Went down the Kassandra route to play, feels like i'm playing a version of Xena in terms of her tough physique. Havn't done too much, only about an hour or so (first mission and a few of the ? on the 1st island).
  9. Shadow of the Tomb Raider ( 14th Sept 2018 )

Finished last night. Was enjoyable, but nothing special about it. I got worried when the game went Gold in July, considering it wasn't meant to be out until September. I enjoyed the stealth aspects, and the combat when it came about. However the story wasn't anywhere near as good as the 1st, not the 2nd. The world felt more alive, but that's about it. For what the story was about, the number of collectables and side missions felt tacked on, like they needed to pad out the campaign. Some of the side-stuff was good, and some of the main missions were decent. 1 or 2 of the missions felt Uncharted 1 in places. The final boss felt weak in comparision to Rise's, but the camera made the battle frustrating at times. Once i saw the credits, i don't feel the need to mop up the collectables or finish the remaining few Tombs. I might do if i get bored, but i'm not in a rush.
  10. Pokémon Go! (Android/iOS)

Caught most of the new Pokemon this morning, have some on Stage 2 evolution (and 1 complete). Got a huge amount of 7k eggs to clear to get some 5 and 10km eggs to see if i get Riolu and the remaining newly released Pokemon.
  11. Your 2018 Gaming Diary

Started to pick back up my gaming time since the move from my parents to my own place. So far since the summer, only managed to finish Spider-Man. Took me near a month to get done, because i kept getting distracted by the side missions and the random events that popped up. Was not a bad game overall, loved the city and the story was pretty decent to go along with it. Moved onto Shadow of the Tomb Raider afterwards. It's not as bad as some people and reviewers have said, but it's certainly not as good as the first.
  12. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

First one is free (similar to how it's done with the Xbox Gamertags) and charging for each additional change afterwards.
  13. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

It's official. PSN name changes are coming. Rolling out this year in a test perod, then fully out for all in 2019. First change is free, then £7.99 per change (£3.99 per change if PS+ user). Small catch, name changes will work with all games made/released April 2018 and might have issues with games released before this date. But, you can revert to your old PSN username for free
  14. Nintendo Switch Online: NES

The new NES games are out, and the SP version of The Legend of Zelda is as thus. Basically, it makes the game easier by giving you many items you normally find later on right at the start.
  15. Splatoon 2

Got the itch to play again over the weekend, so joined in with some friends for some 6v6. Was a lot of fun, and this upcoming Halloween fest is just making that itch more.
  16. Assassins Creed Odyssey

Not at all, it's games like this that normally last me through winter
  17. Assassins Creed Odyssey

What does each one taste like? Mousakka and Souvlaki
  18. Shadow of the Tomb Raider ( 14th Sept 2018 )

I know, i usually buy online these days but as i was in town i thought why not.
  19. Assassins Creed Odyssey

Double post (sorry) The Odyssey box art (well, on the Gold edition anyway) is double sided. Can have either Kassandra or Alexios on the cover, depending on taste.
  20. Mario is Red. The colour associated with Luigi

Not another one of them "is this X colour or Y colour?"
  21. Shadow of the Tomb Raider ( 14th Sept 2018 )

Saw this in CEX the other day, so traded in one or two games and picked it up for around £35. Made a start yesterday after finishing Spider-Man on Tuesday. It's early, but i'm agreeing with the views of this feels the same as before, which can't be a bad thing at times. Graphically it looks great, and the stealth mechanics are better.
  22. Spider-Man (PS4)

Finished the main story last night. What a game to be had, a great story and some interesting side missions. Finished up with 95% completed, planning on taking a break to play something else before tackling the rest (maybe when the DLC hits i'll return). The 3rd act did sort of take the flow away from the game a little, but none the less it was a good experience.
  23. Nintendo Switch Online: NES

I've heard SP could mean "Special Purchase", which possibly could end up in those who want to purchase the NES titles can do so (for the umpteenth time)
  24. Nintendo Switch Online: NES

I was thinking they'd update on the 19th (1 month after launch)
  25. Assassins Creed Odyssey

Meant to be getting this tomorrow (pre-ordered the Gold edition with season pass and 3 day early access). I know it's early, but had nothing yet indicating payment is to be taken.
