  1. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

I highly recommend God of War, and Horizon: Zero Dawn (also get the Frozen Wilds DLC). Both are fantastic games 5 years today the PS4 launched in the UK/EU.
  2. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

I heard about this yesterday, The Know reported in 2 people have had copyright strikes against them and their channels are being closed. Good thing i've hidden the "Recommended" area on YouTube, otherwise i'd probably be spoiled. Honestly, some people are desperate to get the 5 minutes of fame.
  3. General Switch Discussion

The one Zelda game i never finished was Skyward Sword, and that was down to the motion controls being awkward. Having to calibrate my controls every half hour or so really put me off, and i put it aside never to be finished. If Nintendo reworked the game (it can be done, they modified Wind Waker's Triforce Hunt to be simpler) to allow the motion controls to be optional, i'd most likely pick it up. If it was the same as before, just with jazzed up graphics then i'll give it a miss and leave it. It's strange to see that a Zelda game like Skyward Sword divides fans of the series, with some loving it and others hating it. This is a marmite game, and it's mostly down to the control choice and padding.
  4. I'm partly in the same boat. As an experience, it's worth playing Red Dead Redemption 2. However it'll probably not be something i'll rush back to, unless i had nothing else to play.
  5. Found more KKK members dotted around Rhodes, so again i kindly disposed of them. Also found the Suffrogette movement having a peaceful protest. The detail in this game keeps on giving. Watched a video that popped up in my YouTube feed showing that if you watch a dead body, it does decompose and get eaten by vultures. Seriously, some of this detail is both amazing and weirdly iffy at the same time.
  6. Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!

Luckily i got spares of the Pokemon i'm looking to transfer across, so i won't lose the ones in Go i want to keep. Bought a Magikarp from a NPC for 500 coins. It knows Tackle, so it's not useless.
  7. Stan Lee Dies aged 95

He lived a good life, and got to see many of his creations hit the big screen. R.I.P to a legend.
  8. good stuff thread.

Took nearly 3 months, but finally got the electric meter changed in the flat from a token to a standard credit one. 3 months of back and forth phone calls, emails etc. The electric company were adament in making sure we'd clear the debt of the property (wasn't our debt, but as i found out from the landlord it was building up without his knowledge as the last tenants vacated without telling him (so lots of debt built up including unpaid rent, gas and water)) The gas and water were the easy ones, it was the electric that proved hard. They went from trying to charge us nearly £300 to clear the debt to £100 "admin fee". Between me and the landlord (and an ombudsman) we got the fee down to zero. They removed the meter yesterday, so now we can shop around for a better supplier (we were on a tariff that allows us to change (both gas and electric, we're not tied to a contract on either))
  9. Pokémon Go! (Android/iOS)

Thanks Niantic, it's not like we've seen plenty of the Kanto Pokemon already. Would prefer seeing more of the regionals pop up in the wild (except Mr Mime). Finding a Tauros in the 7k eggs was hard the last time they came over.
  10. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

Now they've added downloading PS4 titles from PSNow, it kind of makes sense seeing the numbers being high.
  11. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

That reminds me, need to play Smash Bros WiiU before Ultimate arrives on the 7th. Need to give it a farewell.
  12. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

I think i must have been lucky, got mine for £43 with a steel case from Shopto (ordered in June straight after E3)
  13. Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!

I'm getting it at launch, the Go connectivity sounds great.
  14. Managed to finish the upgrades to the camp last night, thanks to a treasure map i bought. Also mangaged to get a few bits for my horse, a new gun for myself and stocked up on provisions in-camp to keep everyone happy. Seems to work, overheard Dutch talking saying they've got money, food and guns. Found a random hut on one exploration trip South, had 3 or 4 random enemy NPC's who were drunk. They went to bed, i killed all bar one. They told me where more money was in the hut when i scared them outside. And in Strawberry, one NPC let me pick anything up in the store as a thank-you for saving his life from an attack.
  15. Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!

Weird for no Pro controller support, but I kind of understand why. Will most likely have to play this outside of my commute (normally play a lot of Switch commuting) and play at my desk at lunch or at home.
  16. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

I feel the same. Smash Bros WiiU wasn't played a lot by me (heck, the WiiU as a whole wasn't played a whole lot by me). It'll be the game that people will get the online sub to play as well. Smash was very popular at EGX, as it always is.
  17. Pokémon Go! (Android/iOS)

I got a Ex Raid pass............for next Wednesday at 4pm. If it was my RDO (Rota Day Off) i'd be able to go, but alas i cannot The Adventure Sync update is out for players of level 35 and above (at present). So, get those candies earned and eggs hatched. Perfect for Meltan candies.
  18. Playstation Plus Free Games

Never played a Yakuza game before, i'll give Kiwami a shot. PS+ expires end of the month, might get a good deal around Black Friday to renew.
  19. General Switch Discussion

Smash will probably be the one to sell more systems over Let's Go. Many people who pay Go in the raid group i'm in don't want to shell out £300+ for a Switch and Let's Go, however some have in preparation for it.
  20. General Switch Discussion

In that short space of time, that's impressive numbers. Some over at ERA were thinking it wouldn't hit 20 million by years end.
  21. Yeah, tried looting the camp and came up Wanted. Same happened on an earlier mission when i looted a shotgun from a cabin. Hid over by the rocks, waited until the wanted cleared and resumed my looting. Nearly have enough for another camp upgrade.
  22. Been on/off this all weekend. So far, so good. For me anyway, it's living up to the hype in places. Loving the missions, the world and the characters i'm coming across. Per mission i'm completing, i'm hunting rabbits and deer on my way back to camp. Already got into a bar fight, and various people have attempted to kill me out in the wilderness. And faceplanted myself into a tree. Loving the game so far, plenty to see and do. Certainly playing more this evening.
  23. From my understanding, a few on Era don't like the pacing of the first hour or so, whilst others feel it's perfect. Certainly a mixed bag of thoughts. The first hour or so of Red Dead Redemption was a little slow going as well, but it picked up and the game was great. So i'm not too concerned at the moment.
