Why not? Personally, I think they will keep it since it was so well recieved by everyone. It was in no way game breaking and created a whole new level of gameplay.

I said that for around that many people, wavedashing isn't irrelevant. It's known about, at least.

Perhaps you mean Micaiah? Ilyana isn't a lord in Radiant Dawn. Personally, I wouldn't mind Lyn as a PC. Also, Ephraim is a lance using Lord, he was in Sacred Stones.

Ok......first of all, I don't see how my username gives me bias. Second, I didn't actually say I agreed with what the link said. I only said to go there for a list of all the moves and howmuch damage they do. Thirdly, what I'm trying to prove is that 'newbs' think that Roy is better than Marth, when in reality, Marth is better. (Which has been proved). Finally, I made three points in my last post. Marth was stronger. Being 'in the fray' is a disadvantage and that for 50% of players wavedashing is irrelevant. Zell already talked about gamers in groups and you said that it would take some time for the techniques to 'rub off'. If you saw your friend doing something completely weird and giving him an advantage, wouldn't you be curious? Wouldn't your friend be compelled to tell you all about this new technique? It won't take that much time at all. Like I said, 50% was a figure I pulled out of the air, but I'm sure that for around that number of people, wavedashing is known about, at least. There is no need for advanced techniques, unless of course, you want to play at a higher level.

Marth IS more powerful. Not only is it easier to land 'killing' blows he also does more in the majority of his moves. Go here for a complete list. Thing is, you don't have to let your enemies get close to pull it off. Hitting them from further away while doing the same damage is an advantage. I'd say it's more around 50% or so. Also, as it's been pointed out already, everyone plays for fun. Also, Roy can be considered faster than Marth as he falls quicker and has a longer dash dance.

If you're going to include ZSS and Samus as one character, then you should do the same for Zelda and Sheik. Also, didn't he say 2 or 3 3rd party characters? One thing I don't get is, the 'clones' essentially only shared the animations. They had completely different fighting styles. Learning how to play Mario awesomely didn't mean you could do the same for Dr. Mario. I don't see it. Also, is it me or is Zelda not on the cover? Yeah, I'm pretty sure any character can be given a move set. I mean, C. Falcon didn't do any fighting in his games.

Er, Diddy's weapon only explodes if you hold down the button too long. Plus, I don't see why they would nerf foxes laser.

What if they made Final Fantasy VII remake for Wii?

Bold - Ones I have a problem with. Agito? Completely different game. Just because it has XIII in it doesn't mean it's a spinoff Ring of Fates? Sequel Chocobo Tales? What's it a spinoff of? Tacticst A2? Sequel War of the Lions? Port Treasures of Aht Urgan? Expansion International Zodiac System? Not sure, but it seems to just be an international version. Like the international version of X Versus? Completely different game. Only relation is XIII in the title and it's set in the same universe. -

I count four spin offs and two remakes. -

.... Almost every FF game has changed it's formula each time. It's either the battle system, the levelling system, or both. -

I'll take that as a yes. -

Er, wouldn't a FF7 remake look ten times better on a PS3? -
Well, they're already competing against eachother. In the Olympics.
-
No, Marth does more damage.
-
Actually, almost all of Marth's attacks do more damage than Roy's correpsonding attacks.

Still the lag problem =/
-
Even then, there would still be lag. Compared to FPS games, Fighters need much less latency to be played online seamlessly. But say we do get the lag problem sorted. What about the rules? I'm sure Nintendo would keep the items on and that would kill any chance of online tournaments =/
-
Getting 'good' at melee wasn't all that hard. Mastering it, however, took a LOT longer. Shouldn't it stay that way? Also, I don't think online is a good thing. The lag alone would kill the game.

Personally, I think Sakurai's making the game too easy to master. I mean, easy meteor smashes with the foot stool jump? Easier to perform aeriel combos? and now a homing clawshot? And as for the hookshot, there were times where the hookshot was the only way to survive, for example when using up+b wouldn't get you high enough. Also, edge against someone who is using the spin attack is notably easier than if they use the hookshot > jump method. Not that anyone plays link competitively anyway

Heh, she wasn't that overpowered. Just her damn down A Smash
-
Remember, we have trophies in Brawl. We just don't know if we can collect them.
-
I don't think that items are removed because the gameplay is too fast, it's because they're random and skew the results of the match. I've heard people say that having items on makes the game more fun, but how can anyone argue to include them in tournament play?
-
Well, he was the one he used the word, I'm pretty sure he should be the one to define it Also, for future reference, no one uses items in anything that resembles high level play.
-
I think that they're saying Melee isn't exactly straightforward, as in the fighting has a huge amount of depth to it. Personally, I think it is pretty straightforward. I mean, it's not like characters are 'super effective' against other characters.

Wow.....that would be an awesome idea.
