  1. Wario: Master of Disguise looks awful imo. Virtua Tennis looks incredible graphically but seems ever so uninventive and dull. GTA IV sounds like it's going to face a massive change. They got my interest in Mass Effect back up a bit. Enjoyed the podcast this week but thought the show was pretty bad. Next week should be very good though because of GDC :)

  2. These are legendary shows and deserve a thread.

(I'm not sure if this is the right board for them, Other Consoles may be more suited because it is not pure Wii but as there are more people here I thought it'd be fine...)

Here's a summary of each for those who've never seen/listened to them:

The 1UP Show is a popular video podcast that is updated weekly on the video gaming website, 1UP.com. Like the website, the podcast focuses on various aspects of modern gaming culture. Since its creation in 2005, the show has featured previews and reviews of games, as well as in-house debates and discussions on recent developments in the gaming community.
1UP Yours is a weekly internet radio show that takes the form of a discussion among several editors from the 1UP network. The radio show began October 21, 2005 as a weekly news show hosted by Jane Pinckard.

As with The 1UP Show, the 1UP Yours podcast has recently become a more complex and organized radio show. In its current form, the show's hosts are Garnett Lee, Luke Smith, John Davison, and "special guest" Shane Bettenhausen, along Andrew "Skip" Pfister on the audio board (with other 1Up editors, such as "the real special guest" Mark Macdonald, filling in when one of the regular members are on leave), discussing current topics in the video game world. Topics include press announcements, news from gaming conferences, and discussion of game design.

Both are usually released on friday nights, with the 1upShow usually first.

    Here's tonights 1upShow:

  3. Yes, we all know that GBA games are very expensive. The quality ones anyway. Ebay is full of fakes and so usually it'd cost you at least £30 to get certain games new.

Good news: HMV has tons of classics going for £8-£15

Bad news: They may take a while to come as they all say for status 'on order from supplier'

To buy them just go on www.hmv.co.uk and search for it. Also, if you're going to spend over £35 use this code to get £5 off: WT8747

I think i'll order Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, and perhaps Dawn of Souls too. Been wanting both games for a while

  4. Yeah, but I don't really like it. Nerja feels too... you know, not Spanish for my liking. It feels less Spanish than Gilbraltar, and that's owned by the English!

No way! I went to Gilbraltar for a day and hated it, really tacky and ugly. Nerja feels much more authentic. Although I can kind of understand what you're saying, as although Balcon de Europa is a lovely place to be for a summer holiday, it's not natural enough to want to live there permanently i guess.

  5. It's been sunshine here in Spain for the last few days. Infact, it's so nice, I'm already eating outside at lunchtime!

    Edit: It's 23º Celsius here!

    *Jealous*

I love Spain, especially where i usually go there on holiday (Nerja, in the South). I really would love to live somewhere like that in the future.

  6. It's finally here :awesome:

Well today it was anyway (where I am), been a beautiful summer like day, and as I result I feel dramatically more happy than usual. Also reminded me of how much I miss the summer and am very excited about it this year (although I don't want my exams to come in a hurry :hmm:)

It's amazing what weather does for you. Well me at least, I feel like a totally different person when it's sunny, in a good way of course. We don't get much of it in this gloomy country so lets discuss the joy of sunshine :yay:

  7. Competing in an amateur boxing fight in front of a crowd of loads of people. I lost, but am still proud just to have experienced it, because it's something many would not have the bottle to do. That and the guy was much bigger than me and the majority reckon I was getting the better of him at times and came close to knocking him out.
