  1. Football Season 2011/2012

The little 'Bravo' was not really needed was it? However I will allow it a little as you have proveded evidence in reguard to a few quotes. However it is well known that FIFA are intent on bringing in home grown rules the FA already have it, that started this year. The Henry deal certainly was special, however it was over ten years ago. and it in an interesting point you raise about the years 17-21. Have you looked at the likes of Ravel Morrison? Nice article in the Mirror [Link] that would really show what you are talking about here and it is a real shame to see a player of such quality on the pitch to have such troubles off. In other news a interesting pieice in the Mail, I know. [Link]. Usual crap like 'the next Messi' from their spokesman, however is this a good idea? They may get as little as 6 games if they don't make it past the group stages and without the reserves leage that could mean no games after christmas. 2. The "We Love Eddage" Thread

Maybe me and Edd can run a one-in one-out system here since I seem to be back in all my controversial glory? In regard to your break, probably a good idea. You've been working hard and I'd hate to see your quality drop because you lost your passion for it. One thing I will add though is Edd is your sig supposed to blend with the forum background because if so the base is 245,245,245 and on my monitor it looks like you have gone for 255,255,255. No biggy but would polish it off nicely. Then again it might have something to do with the stocks/renders chosen.

Here we go again. You've misinterpreted absolutely everything that has been written and take a rather uninformed opinion. Time to take this one apart. The world's best news site is a rather debatable angle, since they tend to be very slow with news but I'll just let that slide. FIFA are in favour of the rules being in place and while I understand the point in regard to EU law you must understand how these things work and that there will be some flexibility. FIFA is intent on this being pushed through and we all knows such things as 'morals' and 'laws' do not, if they were to entirely block their plans (which they don't), normally stop them. I suppose I did however if you did read it you would understand that often it has been well written by some informed people. I understand the case you so crudely make in regard to it's reputation however. Just edited that round to be true. Again another massive misunderstanding. I'm not starting I'm for or against the 90 minute contact rule, it's contact with coaches so the demeaning tone of your post it rather unnecessary, I have no stance on the issue, I never said I did. You really should understand the system before you criticise it. I am stating that without it you could achieve similar results seen in Spain for example where under 16's are allowed much more contact time with coaches. Now as everyone will understand that this in some way will limit the number of top quality players through, and push up the price of those who do make it. It's rather simple to understand. If you really wish to bark on about the price of Young then maybe you should take up some of the following points as well. - Average of 10 goal per season (Well, almost) - Great set piece taker - Pace - Versatility - Never injured (almost) - Creativity - English - Many assists/Good crosses (- Ashley Young is 7th on the PL assist rate list with 0.46 assists/game.) - Left winger - Young - Plus the most important one for me, Aston Villa Captain (when Petrov was out) Now can we move on, it seems we will just not going to agree on this at all. In lighter news here is Chicharito scoring with his crouch. They all count!

This is FIFA we are taking about here, the same people who gave Qatar the World Cup. Come on Qatar. If you really still do not understand that this this will go ahead and the EU Parliament (not court, the court is a very different thing entirely) I suggest you read the following article and hopefully it can proved a bigger picture for you. [Link] Again I suggest you read this article for the understanding on the 90 minute contact rule. Essentially it limits youngsters aged 16 and under to no more than 90 minutes a day of work with their clubs coaches. However there is currently a youth review going on at the moment which is said to be looking at this area. The rules you mention is also interesting, Keane would seem to dissagree with you. [Link].
  5. Football Season 2011/2012

I have to giggle at; Rather taking it to the extreme don't you think? There are many, many more reasons and maybe one example of which could be the 90 contact minutes rule. I suggest you look at such things and the circumstances in which a young player, and the staff working with them have to work under and then see if your opinion changes. Now I agree somewhat that some young players do not choose the right path however that does happen all over the world and is by no means limited to England. Now the Six-plus-Five rules has been "hardly 'put to bed' FIFA are still intent on limiting the number of foreign players in a league . While the rule doesn't exist as of yet it can explain some of the increases in price. For a rather nice summary on the rules, their intentions and their repercussions one can be found here.
  6. Football Season 2011/2012

Not at all, simply because like any large club we can suffer from the 'six-plus-five' rule brought in by the FA to limited the number of foreign players in any teams chosen 25. This is why recently the top English talent has became so expensive and why clubs are willing to pay more money for them. Essentially the rules were brought in to stop the following; It's rather simple economics that shows that as there is a limited supply the price for English players will increase. After a whole degree in economics I can assure you that that is what is happening here. Also you and no-one else outside of United and Villa knows the fee paid, how it was paid and on what terms. United has listed an undisclosed fee and as they are not a plc are under no obligation to release his price. Anything in the papers is just an informed guess. That's why he is worth and apparent £10 million more.
  7. Football Season 2011/2012

Just awful, for someone who has had such a decorated as career as Carlos. Unacceptable and understandable that he walked off. Them hosting the WC is absolutely bemusing. Started to look more into the whole Russian situation and found this for Peter Odemwingie, who after leaving Russia Lokomotiv Moscow's fans put up this banner. However this has all just reminded me of this; Which is definatly worth another watch. Double Mergio: Also Unted sign Young. Good deal, english which is always a bonus, looking forward the new season.
  8. Football Season 2011/2012

Nail on the head there. United won't really suffer and both them and Liverpool must pay more now for the top English talent with new rules regarding numbers of domestic players coming in the next few years. If anything Liverpool with strengthen considerably as Chelsea and Man City suffer from a lack on income, particularly foreign income. Even Arsenal have stopped their usual Austrian training camp to look for Asian money. In the next few years you can expect the reemergence of the likes of bayern munich and juventus as big spenders as they will benefit most from these rules. Of course no one can really know what will happen in the next few years and the rate of change will determine a lot of the affect. Right, I've agreed too much with a liverpool fan for my liking now. Time to get back to BBQ shopping. Had to add something regarding this as well: Shocking, their last player through who has really made an impact was Terry. Over ten years ago. They do buy plenty of young talent but as results are demanded immediate no manager has time to 'waste' with developing them and must go with established, now ageing players. Edit : Merge.
  9. Football Season 2011/2012

I think you answered your own question there, afterall this is football we're talking about. Money matters.
  10. Football Season 2011/2012

Fellas. please. My eyes. In other news Newcastle seem to be strengthening themselves with a few cheeky captures, also seem to be willing to let Alan Smith out who has one eye on Leeds (wages permitting) along with fellow old boy Woodgate. All the time Luka seems set on Chelsea now as he doesn't want to leave London. Also how does NE feel about Wembley 2013? Might as well start saving now if the tickets are going to be as ludicrously expensive again. Feeling UEFA might just be in it for FA money, once you start digging into UEFA and FIFA is it amazing the amount of greed before football taking place.
  11. Rate the Above Poster's Avatar and Signature

Ah truth, could blend it with 245, 245, 245 in which ever program you use and then host that. Would look bad on the non standard scheme but still don't know how many people use them. Edit : Thanks one of them does a little wave as well.
  12. Rate the Above Poster's Avatar and Signature

Avatar 8/10 - Great avatar, nice cut out look and goes well with the signature. A few white lines around the edge of link and his slingshot, both rather rough and if smoothed could take it to a 9. Signature 7/10 - I like this as well, however link is a powerful image and I feel some of this is taken away by the large background. It would be interesting if the background image was made narrower and maybe pitched a bit higher as I feel at the moment there is a little too much of the grass which is not quite as mystical as the mountains. Its a difficult one to balance in such restricted circumstances.
  13. Football Season 2011/2012

If this ever happened I would eat my own face. Everton could never afford his wages plus wouldn't want to plash the money quoted on a 30 year old. Would more than likely go to a London club (Spurs?) if Inter wanted to sell.
  14. Might be slightly late there then Kurtle, I've been long distance for the last 9 months. Seen each other once over Christmas and must say I'm very envious of even seeing each other every 6 weeks as Flink and Eenuh do. Just something you have to do though.
  15. Well the more the better so any input is great so you're more than welcome. I'm just wondering, as i said, for my own comparative reasons and it's certainly a situation I don't want to find my self in again after now and must remain focused on whats at the end, something worth it. I suppose, and I don't know if you had this as well but there seems to be good and bad patches mostly due to breakdowns in communication and the inability to express what you mean in 160 characters.
  16. Slight thread hijack: Just wondering Flink/Eenuh what's the longest you guys have not spoken for at times? an how that made you feel? (Assuming all is well now) Mostly for my own long distance comparative reasons, I do understand all situations are different blah blah blah.
  17. Online dating

Hehehe. Yeah, I was thinking of Squirt. :P Good luck with the guys who seem promising, even those that your not 100% sure about are worth a meet sometimes.
  18. Online dating

It's a barrel of laughs though isn't it? You have to be careful who you talk to on that. Some people will say anything for a quick lay. There do seem to be some quite genuine people on there, I've found some decent friends off it. Some people really do just want to network. If you look hard enough you may find some people on there who you might not expect. Regarding age differences; I'm 21, my boyfriend is 29, which I do sometime look at and wonder if it would be considered "acceptable", then I think about how I would not change a thing about him. I suppose it all depends on the individuals involved. In other news; Came out to parents. Scary... relieving. Happy. Edit : If you think gaydar is sleazy, check ManHunt out.... and I know one more that, trust me, beats them all.

    1) The Visa application was quite simple for me, I did all of it online and expected to wait a few days to hear anything back. After clicking submit some 5 minutes later I received a email with my visa attached. There was a small admin charge but nothing excessive. The whole process was very simple but obviously depending on yourself it could take longer. Assuming you are clean of any convictions I presume your application, like mine, will be very easy. Of course this is no excuse to leave it until the last minute. 2) I took just one 25kg suitcase of clothes and then a small "carry-on" suitcase that had a few things in, laptop etc. The weather here can be quite volatile at time and is subject to much change. Peek of summer my house hit 42-45 degrees (no air-con either) and now in winter it is around 7 degrees at night, so some large fluctuations. Anything you need while you are out here you can always buy when you're out here. The shopping can be fab-u-lous. 3) Fortunately I had my accommodation sorted out for me, I'm not sure how you would have to do it. The only thing I can say here is that if you put down some areas you've been looking at then I can tell you what they are really like. I hope this helps some what. Feel free to ask anything else.

Hey Moogle, I'm currently doing something very similar in Sydney atm. If you want to know anything about moving to Aus etc. place some questions down and I'll do my best.
  21. Health thread

It's not that.... for so many reasons it's not that. If you really are worried one would suggest getting it checked out but be prepared for a slimy, cold, glove covered hand going somewhere rather intimate.
  22. Questions

No offence taken at all Ell. Reguarding the post: Oh.... nice, didn't see that. Time difference and all, must have been sleeping while it all kicked off. Normally would be a water off the ducks back situation, however, as many know that's not who I am. I'll be honest. I do take some offence someone who doesn't even know me labelling me as a "poof". Yeah, I've had my disagreements with people on here, possibly most notably The Bard and jayseven, however despite this nobody on this forum would ever stoop low enough to to use such degrading 70's terms. All I can say is good riddance to bad rubbish and don't let my big poofy fist hit you on the way out. Mwah. X P.S. I love being a big 'ol "poof". Homo sex is sin-sational!
  23. Sexuality Thread

Not necessarily but I can't speak for everyone. People tend to have their preferences (Top/Bottom) but their is also what is known as Versatile. A person who enjoys both topping and bottoming, and may alternate between the two in sexual situations. It is also common for people to switch with different partners, such as when a person acts exclusively as a top with one partner and exclusively as a bottom with another. It all really depends on the couple, I won't gross you out with details about my love life so I hope this is ample.
  24. Sexuality Thread

Sorry to hear that Chair, just some qualification for those not used to the slang. The roles Chair is referring to are "Top" (the penetrative partner role in a sexual act) and "Bottom" (a partner who adopts the receptive role in a sexual act). It can also be referred to as Active/Passive - although a bottom is not necessarily inactive, or less active than the top. It would be stupid to assume that the Bottom is in someway more feminine. The act of bottoming is enjoyable due to the innate structure of the body, normally. It is not some situation where one guy is the women and the other a man; last time I looked both my boyfriend and I are both male.
