I only got round to starting it last night, got going as a Paladin. The music is surprisingly good. Graphics are a bit simple but the colour scheme is nice and vibrant. Will a multiplayer thread be started for this game?

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, VideoGameBox have it for a bit cheaper if you use the code FBFAN5 at checkout. Works out at £26.41. http://www.videogamebox.co.uk/Fantasy_Life_3DS_p/20130654121.htm Eurogamer's review for Fantasy Life is up: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-09-24-fantasy-life-review Not very glowing, but the article seems to get a bit confusing beyond the second paragraph.

Reviews for this have been surprisingly good so far. Enough to convince me to buy a copy. Origin Island DLC looks to be quite dear at £7.19: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=898013 Cheapest physical version is available at VideoGameBox for £26.41 if you use the voucher code FBFAN5: http://www.videogamebox.co.uk/Fantasy_Life_3DS_p/20130654121.htm

Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy Curtain Call (3DS)
SirToastaLot replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Tesco despatched my copy of Collector's Edition earlier today. Likely to arrive early next week. Oh well, got it for a good price thanks to some vouchers. I possess the first game but haven't played it yet. Should I give it a go before diving into 'Curtain Call'? -
Could be a re-print...although Nintendo aren't known for doing that sort of thing all that often. Or they just found a big crate of them in a dusty warehouse - Indiana Jones-style. Anyway, great deal! Was kicking myself for missing out when GAME had the Xenoblade+Red Controller edition at £9.99 during some random Winter sale.

Project X Zone going for £11.86 at ShopTo. Superb price. That's a lot of gaming hours for (almost) pocket change. http://www.shopto.net/3ds-2ds-ds/3ds/3DSPR04-project-x-zone Edit: Noticed that it was on Back-order a few minutes after posting this!

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Directors Cut
SirToastaLot replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'm not sure if this happened in your case, but it happened to me when I first played the game on PC. The hostages are automatically killed if you spend too much time at Sarif Industries prior to starting the mission. You have enough time to get your augments fixed and run over to the 'copter. -

Shoot the yellow gas canisters. If you're going for the pacifist achievement you will need to know that kills made in the tutorial are factored in. A bit annoying if you've just completed the game thinking that you've been a good person. Glad to hear that you're enjoying it so far. I haven't had much free lately, so I need to get back into it this weekend. The first Deus Ex is worth checking out (if your eyeballs can cope with the 1999-2000 era graphics). -
The Wonderful 101 @ Currys/PC World, going for £24.97.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Directors Cut
SirToastaLot replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I received my copy this morning. Finally fired up the Wii U an hour ago and got onto playing this. The presentation is excellent, it looks as if they've improved the graphics a little bit. The character models seem to feature more detail. I did notice some stuttering during pre-rendered cutscenes, it may have been due to some updates running in the background though. The actual in game performance is smooth. I am still battling with the controls, since I was used to playing the original version of the game with the trusty mouse plus keyboard combination. I haven't used the Gamepad extensively yet, a few hours later and I should be flying! Hoping to spend a bit more time playing this over the weekend. -
Deus Ex: Human Revolution Directors Cut

Good to see that you guys are taking the plunge. This was one of the best games released back in 2011... My copy is on its way, got the shipping update from ShopTo yesterday evening. I played this on the PC originally, I didn't acquire any of the DLC packs - so it'll be nice to play the 'complete package', and on a much bigger screen with cool Gamepad features. -

Get this, it's pretty cheap (on ShopTo & Amazon) considering that there is some controversy regarding its official RRP. Jump in before the price gets hiked up and support (what looks to be) a fantastic port. Here is an excellent playthrough: -
Project X Zone (Capcom x Sega x Namco Bandai)
SirToastaLot replied to Dante's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I am still waiting for that medal. Yeah, it's strange that I kept going back to it despite the faults. I am a terrible completionist as well. I have not been tempted to start a New Game+. Fire Emblem Awakening needs some of my attention once again, I am nearing completion on that one. P.S: I've only just found the little poster that came in the game box. A nice little bonus if you appreciate having all of the character art styles in one place. -

It's nice to see good reviews after recent letdowns. I'm glad that I placed my pre-order with ShopTo. Just look at the colour differences between this and the 2011 version (running on the Xbox 360): No more 'pee filter' yellow. Haha. -
Project X Zone (Capcom x Sega x Namco Bandai)

I finished PXZ late last night. I'm sure the total number of hours played was somewhere in the 60-70 hours region. A very fun but slightly repetitive experience. The latter levels are a slog-fest due to the constant waves of enemies appearing after you've dispatched the previous batch. Even the ending/outro is long! I became very fond of the art style - the animations during special attacks are always entertaining (even after seeing them for the gazillionth time). The characters are quite endearing and have their own personalities. The dialogue and jokes cracked between characters make up for the lack of a decent or slightly coherent story. I was very surprised to see that it gave me the option to start a New Game+. No thanks! The allure of slightly harder enemies, less XP to gain and 'special' items wasn't enough. With my current backlog of games, a replay of this would be a big waste of time. A game for masochists! -

I've played it for about an hour and a half this evening. It's great to experience it on the bigger screen and with surround sound; it's scary when you can hear something creeping up from behind. Ooh er. The graphics are not bad - the cutscenes look fairly spiffy but the low-res textures in-game kinda give away its handheld origins. Controls seem to be fine - you can adjust some settings if you find the defaults to be a bit sluggish. So far I'm impressed for the money, especially the B-movie level acting.

I've been roped into entertaining some cousins today, so I didn't get the opportunity to start on Revelations. Hope you've been enjoying it so far Aneres11. Are the dead zones on the analogue sticks as extreme as some people have made them out to be?
-
My pleasure. It seems that very few people here have purchased the Wii U version (judging from previous posts in this thread). No wonder there's almost zero feedback! Hopefully my copy will arrive tomorrow morning - that'll be the weekend's entertainment sorted.

Grab yourself a copy for £19.99 at GAME: http://www.game.co.uk/en/resident-evil-revelations-206782?categoryIdentifier=390104 I was waiting for a nice price, since I had the 3DS version lying around already. Are the performance hiccups as prevalent as discussed by Digital Foundry and on some internet forums?

I bought my copy from EA's Origin store, they had it on sale for about £22.50 at the time. It's back to full price unfortunately: www.origin.com/en-gb/store/browse/wii-u?q=need%20for%20speed#60 Keep an eye open for the next clearance perhaps...

Really great price, I had a spare code going in my inbox. Got the total down to £12.33. I've got the limited edition for my Xbox but have yet to play it. Might fob it off as a birthday present for someone else. Does the Wii U version have most of the DLC included?
