My computer won't detect my old hard drive

Alright I have this old computer that had a 10gb hard drive with Windows ME on it. I recently put a 200gb hard drive in it and installed XP home on the big hard drive. So i made the 200gb hard drive the master and the 10gb hard drive the slave. Xp installed and works perfectly but the 10gb hard drive is not being detected. All my music and files are on the small hard drive and I would really want to transfer them over. So basically why isn't xp detecting my other hard drive? Thanks
