system_error Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Nintendo today revealed (Source: http://www.mcvuk.com/newsitem.php?id=24427) that they will invest 10 to 11 million Euro into marketing the Wii console in Europe. That budget includes TV ads and online advertisment which will be the major point of their strategy. Called "Wii Move You" the Nintendo campaign will be all over the internet including Lycos, Yahoo and MSN. The campaign will start around mid-October an during the launch week everyone will know what the Wii is!

They spent £1m on the Channel 4 comedy blitz alone.. that's kinda cool, hopefully some of that marketing money will include an update to the website. Doesn't really concern me much though.. I often know about games months before in magazines and on websites.. the adverts are merely for the masses.
