david.dakota Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 What do i need to check for to ensure my existing router is compatible with NTL internet?
Charlie Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 I'm 99% sure that ADSL routers aren't compatible with cable broadband.
david.dakota Posted August 9, 2006 Author Posted August 9, 2006 Could someone recommend a wireless router compatible with both Nintendo DS and cable broadband?
Colin Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 It is possible to get an adsl router working with your cable internet, but it wouldn't be worth the hassle imo, as you would then need to have a computer on constantly so the router can send and recieve. If you're looking for a Cable router, then you can't go wrong with either Belkin or Netgear hardware. Look on amazon or ebuyer.com for each of their latest models, then compatibility should be fine. And if you want to make sure if will definitely work with your DS, then check the model no. of the router you're buying with the listings on Nintendo's WiFi site.
Blue_Ninja0 Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Do you mean a wireless router with integrated cable modem? Because if that's the problem you just need a normal router (with no integrated modem) and connect the network cable from your cable modem to the WAN port on your new router. It's cheaper that way. Or did i miss something?
