Anyone else around here dabbled with pixels? Or enjoy pixel art? Thought id showcase some of mine (these are all pretty old, i stopped doing it ages ago). Mike Posted June 21, 2006 Share Posted June 21, 2006 Back when I was in school, I made a graphic adventure game based on Red Dwarf. I did all the graphics myself in Paint, so I got lots of practice at pixel art, and I definitely improved over the year it took me to make the game. I'm probably not as good any more, though - it was over six years since I made the game. The last thing I had a go at in Paint was copying some Azumanga Daioh characters, which I did last year. It was made by a guy who goes by the alias of "Mr. Wang", and he lets people build 2 floors worth of pixel art, and he adds them to his tower. The page takes about 5 minutes to fully load on a 256k connection, but it's worth it. gorrit Posted June 22, 2006 Share Posted June 22, 2006 Haven't done any pixel-art for a long time, so I don't have any on this computer, but check out this forum: http://pixel-arts.org/pixelopolis/ (alot of the old pixelation guys are still there, check out Helm, Xion Night, Ndeal etc) BTW, e-boy is highly overrated IMO, but that's probably mainly becouse I dislike their style.
