arnold Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 I've recently bought a new Webcam, mainly becasue theone I used to have buggered up wasn't showing any video or anything so I Decided to get a Proper Web cam (my old on e was a Camera/webcam thingy) But I've been getting problems everr since I bought a proper Webcam, I bought a Logitech Quick Cam at first, installed al lthe software and Drivers for it and restarted and I get a window on start up afte the restart asknig me to Insert the Camera into the USB Drive, I do so and the Computer recognizes it as the Quick Cam and keeps switching between Quick Cam and USB device for soem reason then i get this Message popping up. http://img68.imageshack.us/img68/1747/cam4qs.jpg So I took it out of my Front USB ports and Put them into the back ones but I kept getting the same Message so after a couple hours of messing about and Downlaoding updates from the Logitech website I decided to take it back to the store I got it form and i exchanged it for a Labtec Webcam Pro, and I've jsut been installing that, restarted the PC and I get the same error message up, I've deleted my old webcam drivers offo f the computer and the programs it used but I have no idea how to get this thing working, it's doing my head in. Any help would be brilliant.
Raining_again Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Dodgy installation? Have you tried reinstalling drivers, no errors or anything there? Its either that or windows is conflicting with the drivers or something pesky. I couldnt really see all usb ports failing o.O
arnold Posted April 30, 2006 Author Posted April 30, 2006 I've uninstaled the old drivers drivers and installed the new ones in it's place, I did with the first one a couple of times not with this new one yet but i'm plannig to it's just that I did get that message when I reinstalled the new drivers as well, it's just getting annoying that it's happened a second time.
