goku21 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 This is a cool idea, check it out! http://www.gizmondoforums.com/videos/katapult_mix512K_Stream001.wmv
Sonic238 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 am i the only one who doesn't get it? cool idea to play in your own environment but what's the game about?
YenRug Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 It's a demonstration of tech that they were working on, for the Gizmondo handheld. The system basically has a camera mounted in the back and they give you that plastic square that you can put pretty much anywhere; the system is able to identify the square and then orientate 3D objects over the images, with any movement of the camera reflected in the movement of the 3D objects. It's kind of a progression of those camera games that you can get on mobile phones, where it's able to work out camera movement and give you enemies to shoot by aiming the phone.
gmanprime Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 OMG!!! I just had the coolest idea. Wouldnt it be amazing if they implemented this for SSB revolution. You could disighn new levels by rearaging your things. "Come on guy SSB party at my house i have really sweet level we can play on." But honestly it is sweet but I doght it will be implemented with revolution. Plus i THINK IT only displays flat surfeses witch is kinda lame.
gmanprime Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Oh man I just had another amazing thought. You put a camera on the rumored revolution goggles. The sensor that inputs the orientation of the controller would double as the sensor for this. The goggles would then show the image the camera takes and ad in the graphics. You wouldn't have to worry aboult the tilting camera becuase it is atatched to where you eyes are looking any way. Think of the possibilities. Fighting a ninga who actually seems to be in your house would definetly make me say "Wow!".
gmanprime Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Also just to add. With my prievios thought you wouldnt need to worry about crashing into thing becuase it would be in your real environment.
nicolasmasset Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Also just to add. With my prievios thought you wouldnt need to worry about crashing into thing becuase it would be in your real environment. You could also just click on the "edit" button to alter your comment instead of having to make two comments But I don't really care :p
