Remnant: From the Ashes is a third-person survival-action game set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by mythical creatures. The game provides players and up to three of their friends with a unique, customizable gameplay experience filled with intense shooting and melee combat, gear and weapon crafting, character progression and dynamically-generated levels that offer an infinite number of ways to explore and take on deadly monsters and epic bosses.

Another game I've come across lately, thanks to a release date being announced. It's being developed by Perfect World and Gunfire Games (the team behind the Darksiders games) being involved and it has that look that could easily put it as a Darksiders spin-off but sadly isn't.

From what I'm seeing around, those who've played it liken it to a Soulsborne game, but obviously as a third person shooter. It's playable in single player or up to 3 player co-op with randomly generated levels and a ton of loot that's all randomised such that it's unlikely two people playing solo separately will see the same content or get the same loot (obviously a major over exaggeration but still).

Looks good though and the hands on from GameSpot suggested it's meant to be played more in shallow bursts as dungeons/levels are only like 20-30 minutes long so don't require the same kind of time investment as other looter shooters.

A good chunk of gameplay from the developers there. It looks like it'll be a solid experience. Might not be GOTY but certainly solid looking. It's coming out August 20th in PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
