Emerald Emblem Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 It's stealthily arrived on PSN under the radar last week, there is a free version with a song from each pack pre-installed (Basically a demo) but in order to install the packs you have to spend £9.99 to unlcok the full game, the packs are £24.99 each or you can buy both as a bundle at £44.99. There is no platinum trophy for you Platinum collectors sadly. The graphics are an upgrade on previous Project Diva games and there are a lot of modules you can unlock with in game currency which makes its return to the series. What struck me most was the new mechanics that make the game even more challenging than before, holding specific song notes down whilst pressing other notes for a score bonus if you manage to hold it down long enough (Though not mandatory for a perfect rating) which made it difficult to 100%+ on normal, I dread to see what hard and extreme are going to be like. They also replaced the star symbols with arrows which you can trigger with the shoulder buttons or analogue sticks, sometimes they'll need to be held down for bonus points. That said I did manage to Perfect one of the songs, just not 100% it: It's a busy month so I'm not going to invest in the full game yet, but it seems pretty good and more challenging which is a plus.
