Jimbob
I don't often post in here, but here goes. I've got a Windows 8 pro machine. A friend of mine gave me his old headset for using whilst playing online. I use Ventrillo for the chat-client (don't have a choice really, it's not my license for it). When i plug in the headset (it's got the pink and green connectors) to the front of the computer, it plays all sounds (game and/or music) from the computer. I've managed to get the sounds to go back to the speakers, but all the sounds also play through the headset as well. To sum it up, is there anyway i can disable everything (except voice) from going to the headset.
MoogleViper
I don't know if they've changed it with 8, but I tried to do it with 7 and found that there wasn't a way. I think it can only be done if you have a separate sound card.
Jimbob
That's what i found online, others were saying it's easier to get a USB headset (which doesn't disable the speakers) and allows the sounds to be split that way.
