darkjak Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 My mum just bought a brand new Sony HD TV with a piano black finish. However, obsessed with cleanlyness as she is, she saw fingerprints on the frame and tried to polish them off with the sleeve of her sweater, which in turn scratched it. And now she wants to do something about that. So, any suggestions on how to get rid of those tiny scratches on the piano black frame?
Shorty Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Was the TV checked over by the seller/delivery man? If not, I would return it and claim the scratch was there all along... Otherwise, this AVForums thread might have some answers: http://www.avforums.com/forums/plasma-tvs/702079-removing-very-fine-scratches-piano-black-bezels.html
Caris Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 No answer. Piano black scratches so easily, my old PS3, 360 Slim, Sony TV etc all have fine marks. It's unavoidable, I always use a micro fibre cloth to wipe them down too (best cloth for not scratching things) and they still mark slightly.
