Ike Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Since yesterday, the computer started to crash after loading up an account profile. Eventually got it too show a BSOD, but it doesn't tell me much about the problem. After much debugging, I find it's Windows Search causing the problem. Problem is I can't find a way to fix it, disabling it from msconfig fixes the problem allowing access to the user profiles. I tried deleting the files in c:\programdata\microsoft\search\ but it causes the system to crash. Google search has resulted in nothing. Chkdsk and sfc /scannow hasn't fixed it. Anyone got any ideas? I'm on Vista 32bit.
