A quick question regarding Windows Vista's Network Discovery: how can I turn it off and make sure it's never activated unless I actually frickin' tell it to be. I always turn it off on the network and sharing center options; but it keeps turning itself back on every time I reconnect. Very annoying. Why have Microsoft even done this? Vista completely ruined online gaming for me as I'd get a spike every minute or two trying to play TF2 or the like; incidentally I've no such issues with Windows 7. Anyway, when I was still on Vista I ended up installing this. It's free, unobtrusive, can start with Windows and stops those annoying background scans.
