exFAT Help Please =]

So...It all started because my external HDD got corrupted or something funky and I had to reformat it. And when I went to format it I saw the option for exFAT and being the curious fuck that I am I researched it because I had never heard of it...

 

So some sites said that it was quicker and all that so I went for it. And it seems to be working pretty well...except on my new netbook that runs XP.

 

On my computer that runs Vista and on my computer that runs Windows 7 it runs fantastic. But with XP it wont let me write anything to it. I already downloaded and installed the patch that lets me use it on XP, and I can grab files and such off it just fine. But I can't write to it, it says the disk is write protected. Help please =]

 

 

*edit......just kidding I got it, resinstalled the update while the exFAT hard drive was plugged in. Iono whats up with that but it worked. Thanks though :\
