Apparently, a new patent filed by Nintendo could possibly related to the Virtual Console, presenting information about the functionality that we didn't know before! Anyway i mentioned this earlier somewhere else but with all these emulators added to the Rev its gonna be a breeze for 3rd parties to add their old games to the list. A win-win-win situation.
