Fierce_LiNk Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I thought a black Wii looked awesome at the time. But, the more I look at the gorgeousness of the one we have already, I really don't see why many would go for the black. White is where it's at. [/Ku Klux Klan]
Hydrocannon Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Yeah, colors probably won't become available until they can at least keep up with the demand for the current Wii. The slick, clean white is the Wii's trademark look for now. I wouldn't be that excited about a black Wii personally. Black is overrated; we need some real colors, like an aqua blue or lime green. My forest green N64 controller has been with me for years.
Emasher Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I rather think that three years from not (winter 2011), Nintendo will be scratching their heads on how on earth they're supposed to get the casual gamer off their Wii and realise that the Wii HD is what they really "want" to spend their money on. If it'll happen, it'll be as soon as you can walk in to game/gamestop/wallmart and just ask for a Wii and be nearly guaranteed to get it the same day. I think that'll be in about a year. I think you're right. Nintendo knows they're not going to be able to sell the Wii for 2 generations. And they're probably going to need to release the Wii HD along side the PS4 and 720 (or within a year). But they're still going to want the masses to play it. I imagine a black Wii will come out around this time next year. Wii sales will most likely die down this year if you factor in how poor the economy is right now.

Kirkatronics Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 The black wii may be a new look for the version which supports HD.
