Strider
I installed Opera the other day because Firefox was messing up and wouldn't store bookmarks or history. Anyway this was fine untill this morning when certain webpages won't load. Google won't search, Play.com and facebook won't display, yet for some reason N-E will. The websites won't load on Firefox, Opera or IE. I've tried re-installing them and even a system restore but they still won't work. I did get an Opera file corrupt message in local settings before the restore but it seems to have gone now. Help?
Sanchez
DNS problem Start -> Run -> cmd -> type ipconfig/flushdns If that doesn't work try restarting your router. If that doesn't work try using opendns. (http://opendns.com) If none of that works then the problem will probably clear itself after a while. Strider
If none of that works then the problem will probably clear itself after a while. Looks like it will have to be this one then. Does anyone have any more ideas as to a fix? I'm thinking it's a virus or worm of some kind, although i've done many scans yet still i'm not able to access certain sites. Gaijin von Snikbah
Usually the first tab fails to load pages properly. If open a second tab with NE for instance, it loads perfectly. Try opening a second tab with the same page and see if it helps.

Strider
Sorry forgot to say that it is now fixed. I found i had a virus (Vundo or something) which was a pain in the arse to get rid of, but it eventually buggered off.
