Guest DS MaNiAc
So I was looking for a cheap but decent desktop computer, and I saw this Mac and looked into it. It seems pretty good to me, but then again what do I know? Is This a good deal? It's an (old) PowerMac G3. I think it looks pretty good, and imo looks like a good deal, even though it is refurbished. I dont really have too much money and £150 is probably the price I want to be paying, 'cause then I will have enough left over for the wi-fi card thingy. I just want it for doing work on/surfing the net, I'm not too fussed about games. Heres what you get: 80GB hard drive 128MB RAM keyboard and mouse 15" TFT screen CPU: PowerPC 750 CPU speed: 350Mhz & 450MHz (More specs can be found on the site) Not to bad imo, maybe I could update the ram once I have enough money, but its it should do for now. Pics: One last Question: When I have enough money I want to buy OS X Tiger, will it be compatible? Cheers.

Guest DS MaNiAc
So would I, but theres no way my parents would pay that much for a computer/ not a hope in hell of me making that kinda money, atleast while I'm still in school...

Charlie
It will run Tiger, but you need more RAM, 512 at least.
Charlie
yeah, with more RAM it'll just about run tiger. Have you looked at mini mac prices? Are they out of your price range? He'll have to buy a monitor/keyboard/mouse then. Which does bump up the price £100 or so, or more if it's a TFT monitor. Would you have to buy Tiger for the G3?
