Mr_Odwin Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I just got my hands on a Belkin Wireless G Router (freebie from a work colleague), where previously I've had a crappy USB ADSL modem. I've used Zone Alarm firewall in the past and at the moment I'm using Comodo. Just wondering if there is a need to anymore? I had to go through a series of router hoops to get torrents up and running and to start playing games online so the software firewall seems a little redundant now? Here's a pic of the manual page about the firewall.
Guest Jordan Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Router firewalls are usually pretty damn solid. Unless you let a port be accessed theres usually no way through it. I'd suggest ditching your software firewall now.
