Daft Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 There is a deal at Carphone Warehouse where if you sign up to the broadband you score a free PS3. I was thinking of changing anyway because for some annoying reason my 360 can't play online through the BeBox...The PS3 has just perked my interest though! I use to have AOL ages ago (when I still had dial-up) and just wanted to know what it is like now?? Do you still need to use the AOL specific browser to sign on? Is there anything bad about this deal and the AOL thing?? (Sorry if this is on the wrong board!)
Ten10 Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 I didn't check the terms of the deal, but I think I'd rather have the laptop also on the deal. My brother is on AOL Broadband, and yeah he has to use that crappy AOL browser thing to connect to the internet.
Daft Posted November 23, 2007 Author Posted November 23, 2007 Don't you just flick the wireless router on and connect like that? I've already got a MacBook so if I do get this, I'll get the PS3. Does anyone know if there is a monthly download limit?
Ten10 Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 He doesn't have wireless they wouldn't give it to him. But I would expect that AOL's router should work just like any other.
Daft Posted November 23, 2007 Author Posted November 23, 2007 Ahh, cool, thanks for the info!! I think I'll go check it out tomorrow.
