Posted November 15, 2007 right, as some of you know i was very excited about getting my ipod!! and when i got it i was so happy.. but for some reason it now refuses to turn on! - YEH!.. i charged it up (well i think i did) via the USB cable but still doesnt turn on -a nd the wee lock thing is off! what do i do? i bought it from amazon i was thinking of returning it as i only got it 2 weeks ago and buying another one from t he town! Posted November 15, 2007 Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step. Posted November 15, 2007 Connect it to iTunes and click restore to factory settings. It should then have the iPod software reinstalled on it, and then it will just be a case of re-syncing your music etc. If this doesn't work then I would say return it. Posted November 15, 2007 I had this problem (well sort of) too, I just re-installed the software and it was fine. Hasn't crashed since I installed the software update for it. Just out of curiosity, what kind is it? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
