Ramar Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Ok first a bit of back story. So today I managed to break the zip off a mildly expencive jacket (£40). I've broken the bit that you hold onto to pull the zip up or down. Foolishly zipping it up without it I managed to seal myself in its evil grasp, and some how managed to wriggle out of it before my lecture started. So the point of this topic is to ask how you replace or repair broken zips.. Currently I have a key ring loop in the zip hole so I could get the zip working. But obviously this isn't exactly practical and it makes me look like a pillock. Of course its not the end of the world, but with winter coming, I'm gonna be needing to zip this beast up.

conzer16 Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Check out your local dressmakers/tailors. They do that sort of thing for a living. Shouldn't be very expenive either
Ellmeister Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 I should have asked that in here when I had my problem =[ My mum couldn't think of anywhere that might do it. (not sure where our local tailors etc is anyway), but yeah having a jacket without a zip in the winter is not nice. Especially when people go, are you cold? Do your jacket up then! O.o thanks for the advice..
