UziT Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Righty, for the last couple of days my internt connection (Virgin Media) has been really really slow or drops the connection every 20minutes. I rang them up (Virgin Media) they said there should be a probleam :S I have a wireless pc, laptop, wired pc and a Wii. Anyone know what I can do? Thanks
Ant-Shimmin Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Do you have them all connected at once? Is your internet Connection Secure? WEP Key?
Charlie Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Have you tried resetting your router? This happened to me once, I just pulled out the power cable and plugged it back in and it started working fine.
UziT Posted July 17, 2007 Author Posted July 17, 2007 Do you have them all connected at once? Is your internet Connection Secure? WEP Key? Yes mate it is and to answer Moria I've been restarting my god damn router for the last week.
Ant-Shimmin Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Hmm The only suggestion I have that their might be a new person who is connected to your local cable box in your area who is downloading ALOT of stuff. Have you edited any settings on the router?

Emasher Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 i think your having the same problem that i'm having. we called the service provider and they came and took a look at our underground cable and it was pretty worn out, so they put in a temporary cable (above ground) and we still have the same problem (not as often though) because the cable is very sensitive. They put in the new permanent one in the fall. Unfortunately for me my router is pretty far away from my computer.
