Righto! Reccomend a 1080p 46"+ HDTV

Recommended Posts

Right, well I posted something similar to this in the HDTV thread but no replies so I'll just post it here.:)

So I need a HDTV it needs to be able to do 1080p and I would prefer it to be over 46". I've looked at a lot. But the ones that have good brand names are really expensive(-obviously). So is there any companies out there that make good TV's and aren't real expensive? Samsungs sure are sexy however. And I need a TV with Optical Out.

Some I've looked at.

Hyundai $1800

-Cheap but not as sexy as Samsung and I've never head of 'em

Cheap Samsung $2000

-Cheapest Samsung but I believe it has no Digital Tuner but I may be wrong.

Upgraded of one above. $2300

-Same as one before but I believe has a Digital Tuner.

Just found this one looks real sexy and has 3 HDMI compared to 2 all the other ones have. $2300

-Why does this TV has a USB 2.0 port on it? What can you do with USB port on a TV?

-Thanks!

Bit difficult for any of us to recommend models, you guys have completely different sets over in the states

Try: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/

I've heard good things about the site but not spent a great deal of time on there because they mostly focus on American TVs

Eh, probably out of your price range. If you want to get a TV make it a good brand, it really makes it worth it in the long term.

Awesome price for a 1080p projector but still kind of spendy and doesn't really have much inputs and outputs...
