Media Centre PC

Im building a budget (but highly upgradable) media center for my dad's xmas. Heres the spec:

Total cost: £300

And one of these 2 cases:

 

 

The main problem im having is the cosmetic. The 2 cases are the same inside, only exceptions being that the 2nd one has a VFD (screen) instead of a second drive bay (for DVD Drives etc) and also has a volume control knob on the front.

Basically, im torn between price and looks. The first one is about £60 and the second is £115

 

Which do i go for? Sexy or Cheap?

I'd go for the top one. Looks cooler than a those knobs and screens..

It looks nice and plain.

I can only see the Antec case.

 

My house mate is just in the process of building a Media Center PC and he has gone for the Antec. The Build quality is excellent, and it is alot bigger than i thought it would be and is hella expensive. Personally I couldn't justify spending that much on a case and would rather spend the money, getting better parts.

 

If you go for it, i dont think you will regret it!
