I've gotta say, these arguments (more like, a certain someone's blatant stupidity and self contradiction) are hilarious. He keeps saying this isn't a question of HD vs SD. Then he keeps saying that the Wii is gonna look shit in HD compared to SD. And, I mean, it's just.. Seriously, I actually laughed twice rather loud while reading the last page. Also, I move to lock this.. Just like I did with his other thread. The whining must stop!

Oh my god, that is AWESOME. So this is gonna be in Spiderman? For sure? Awesome. So I can get Zelda, Wii Play and SMB:BB and only have to pay for two? Sweeeet. I'm liking the GAME takeover more and more. Oh, and on a side note, I heard you're hearing your stock allocations this week, that true?

It's not a crime, but when you have that good a TV you have no right to complain. That's all. You're lucky bastards, to be honest. I'd play with composite on a HDTV over on my (very good quality) SDTV, and yes, I know how it looks.

I know that. But this only affects people who have HDTV, and who, in general, are incredibly spoiled image-wise. Serves them right, in my opinion. Oh, and yeah, I am just jealous. My argument still stands though.

I'm getting an extra set of Wiimote+Nunchuck (with Wii Play, obviously), but beyond that I'll have my friends get their own. At least got 2 friends who are getting a Wii, probably more with time. Might get a 3rd one around christmas if possible, though. Oh, and it won't be hard to convince my brother and sister to get one each.

Just reading the last page of this topic I realised; if I'm damned lucky, I might be taking my Wii home in just a few days more than a week (if they do a midnight launch and my preorder goes in). And now, suddenly, I'm re-hyped. Awesome. Really worried I won't get it though.. Doubt stock allocations will be high around here.

Oh my god, that is such a good idea. I can't believe you didn't think of that sooner, like when I said it in my very first post. If the component cables are so important for, just IMPORT THEM. Don't whine and annoy us who don't have a good enough TV to notice the difference. Yeah, poor you. Sucks to not have an SDTV, doesn't it.

Bogbas: Thanks a billion. That clears things up. It'll probably be hard to find my manual though, as I got the TV for free from my grandparents when they got a widescreen. I'll look around though. And I'll get an RBG cable anyway if I can't find it and hope for the best.

Quick question; is the difference between composite and RBG very noticeable on a (rather good) SDTV? And again (DCK), where'd you find that bangin scart box in your last post? Wantage. EDIT: Ok, I just tried reading through this topic, and I am going insane from the amount of video related info I never wanted to have to handle. I'm just going to ask a few more questions, and if they're unanswered I'll end up punching someone. Is it worth getting a RBG cable over the composite for an SDTV? What the hell is this? Can I use this to connect the Wii to my monitor? My monitor has both VGA and DVI. Do I really need that ghey huge VGA box and component cables? How do I know if the scart inputs on my TV support RBG? (there are two, and all they say are EXT-1 and EXT-2.) One is blue (EXT-1) and one is red (EXT-2). And, again, that scart box there I really want. That's all, I think. I'm just gonna try not to think about this now. I wish everyone would've just stuck with composite forever.. I feel like some old dude trying to use a computer.

I haven't bothered reading through this entire topic (other than the first post), so sorry if this has been asked. How big is the difference between RBG and component? I realize component is better but seeing as I'd have to fork out a hell load of money for a new TV for that, I think I'm going to settle with RBG (as my TV can take that). So yeah, how much am I missing out on? From the descriptions in the first posts it's hard to make out the difference. Oh and also, where can you get an awesome thing like that above for 10 euros..? I am rather interested.

Remember that the N64 weighs a bitch load compared to Wii. The Wii weighs next to nothing.

Die Hard (1): 9/10 John McClaine simply kicks MAJOR ass. And I'm a huge Alan Rickman fan, and he's awesome in this. Great movie. Just great. Classic, etc.

The Long Kiss Goodnight - 6/10 This would've been good if Geena Davis hadn't been such a crap actor. Totally brings the movie down. Jackson is good though.

And they're likely to get more/earlier colors than us too. I wouldn't be surprised if I ent up with both an NTSC and a JAP wii.. or just a JAP wii if they release a freeloader ('cause let's face it, they'll have AWESOME COLORS in due time).
