  1. Your 2020 Gaming Diary

Pushing the missions along a bit further in Borderlands: GOTY Edition (Part 5). And if anyone is interested in seeing what Friday the 13th: The Game is like. This video pretty much encompasses the basics of how to be a survivor. Weapons, traps, locking doors, dying, whoops.
  2. Day 21 - Game that takes you back to your childhood Many hours every weekend spent with my two younger brothers on Street Fighter 2 on the SNES.
  3. N-E Café Podcast

N-E Café [036] Overstepping The Mark is now available at all good podcast providers, and some not so good ones, too. We're literally everywhere. Episode 36 of the N-E Café has regular hosts Lee Davies, Gregory Moffett and returning Mars conqueror, Nick Lone. They discuss the latest Nintendo News; games they’ve been playing, featuring Doom (2016), Kotodama: The Seven Mysteries of Fujisawa and Flingsmash (Wii); and this week we have a Listener Question from Daniel Wu relating to copyright laws. This is episode 36 of the N-E Café Podcast, an N-Europe Podcast. Enjoy! ⦁ Intro Music: ARMS Main theme (Super Smash Bros. 4. Day 20 - Saddest Moment Haven’t seen too many of these, and while films make me cry often, I can honestly say a game never has. That being said, The Walking Dead The Telltale Series Season 1’s conclusion is memorable. (not the death per say, but the loneliness that follows).
  5. Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase 20/7 @3pm BST

All the details on the recently announced Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase.
  6. Your 2020 Gaming Diary

A little 16-Player (2 of us, 14 CPU) 3-Stock Tourney we did this weekend. Just to show my inadequacies compared to my son.
  7. Day 19 - Melee Combat Batman: Arkham City - Armoured Edition (Wii U) The way Batman strings together ranged, close quarters and counters felt fluid and bone crunchingly satisfying.
  8. Day 18 - Mini-Game Bowser Basher beat me to it. When MonkeyBall is good, it’s very good. My brother and laughed so hard playing ‘Monkey Fight’.
  9. Your 2020 Gaming Diary

Fourth and final Part of TOKI. This time I take my sweet revenge on Stage 6 and pleasure in the fall of Vookimedlo.
  10. Where Do You Go Out To Eat?

Most of the converstaions you'll have in Taiwan, revolve around food, the cost of food, and food. With that, the variety of restaurants here is astounding. From the local family run stores where lunch, a bowl of ramen and a side vegetable dish, will set you back a whole 1 pound, to upper class establishments where the food tastes pretty much the same, but still at resonable rates, but is better presented with better service. So, I spend a lot of time in the smaller family run businesses, and by hell do they know how to cook. Teppanyaki is one of my favorites, Japanese styled hot plates, where the chef cooks at your table, or long bar. Awesome experience, tasty food, and cheap.
  11. N-E Café Podcast

Yeah, @will' Sam's audio was coming in low, so turned it up when editing to as high as I could without comprising the quality. But, when I played it back on my iPad it all sounded fine. A tiny bit quieter than usual, but no great difference. That's strange? But, as Nick said, Audacity and Skype are not bed fellows, and with them both updating their programs periodically (Skype mostly), it throws a spanner in the works often, in terms of recording and editing. Not to mention, the 'deliberate' 'mistake' at the end of last week's podcast, truely showing how long ago I last edited a podcast. I'll be apologising during the opening for my brazen, misplaced advertising.

[Lee Plays] TOKI (Part 3). The one where the final stage totally owns me.
  13. N-Europe Video Game Club

So, it's time to start counting the votes. Untitled Goose Game [0] The Messenger [1] Outlast [0] Mutant Mudds [1] Pilotwings (SNES) [1] Turok [1] Also, a quick note to say that we'll be announcing the winner on the podcast we record on August the 2nd, so you've got until the day before and then the voting ends. So, @drahkon, @Vileplume2000 what preferences do you have? I'll have a think and vote in the next couple of days myself.
  14. Day 17 - Racing Game While it could have easily been F-Zero X for me, the N64 game felt a more serious racer in its handling than GX, I’ll have to go fo4 the game that I bought my first and only steering wheel for, F1 World Grand Prix (N64). Many days lost on this.
  15. Day 16 - Most interesting collectible Doom (2016) Little Doom Guy. I want ne in real life, too.
  16. Your 2020 Gaming Diary

Just uploaded Part 2 of my full TOKI play-through. This time I manage to get through the next 2 stages, 4 and 5.
  17. Your 2020 Gaming Diary

Finished the Mechstermination Force play-through. There were indeed 6 parts to this. This is the last part, And then onto TOKI, Part 1 is up right now, and is only me on my lonesome.
  18. Name Changes

    Hey, I got capitalised. Thanks!
  19. Day 15 - Best Story I find most stories in games I’ve played highly predictable, so I had trouble thinking of a story that resonated deeply with me. People praise GRIS, Celeste and other walking simulators, but I find their metaphors shallow and too simplistic. So, trending away from games like that, I did recently enjoy What Remains of Edith Finch, it didn’t ram its metaphors down your throat. However, my pick is a slow descent into a drug fuelled nightmare of violence. Unable to discern reality from dream, and only told with minimal dialogue. Hotline Miami Collection, if I had to choose one from the collection, the 2nd trumps the first.
  20. Share your Youtube holes

    Hypnotic.
  21. Day 14 - Best 2D Platformer Mark of the Ninja Remastered (Switch). Ninja stealth action doesn’t get better than this.
  22. Name Changes

Not changing my name, but for a while now I've been contemplating the wisdom of starting Londragon as a lower case letter L. It so happens that it has been mistaken as a capital i. (Thought it was 'cool' to have all lowercase). So, if it's possible, and there's certainly no rush, to change my londragon to Londragon (capitalising the first letter only). Thanks.
  23. N-Europe Video Game Club

It's that time again. Half-way through the month, which gives us plenty of time to rack up a list of games, and get everyone voting on their game of choice to play throughout August, and recorded in the N-E Cafe PodPals episode scheduled for the first Sunday of September. So without delay, the games we included this time in no particular order, or discernible category, are: Untitled Goose Game The Messenger Outlast Mutant Mudds Pilotwings (SNES) Turok So get voting for a game that you'd want to play, and talk about, so we can share your thoughts on the first Podcast of September. Good voting!
