Nope. The only way is by boosting your agility to move before the LMS. Meteorite Bracers give the largest agility boosts if you can get one. Go the quest to kill 3 Metal Medleys using Pressure Pointer which is pretty tough as they keep running before it hits. Got 2 so far though. Edit: Got all 3 now Story wise, I've just got the last Fygg so I'm guessing I'm pretty close to the end of the main story.

No way, I've got a ton more items thanks to my thief. She even stole items off all 3 enemies in a single battle!

Yeah, not a great amount, but every little helps. Different wands get different absorption rates, and you can get skills to boost the amount as well. Unlocked the DQVC this morning and downloaded the quests and got my dress from Alena. Also bought a load of useful items from the shops which I needed for some alchemy and complete some quests Started leveling my thief. I assume they're good for farming items off enemies.

Don't think I've unlocked the DQVC yet, it's not a timed event is it?
