    Still no Breath of the Wild, Amazon can't explain why Royal Mail haven't delivered, the last update from them was it was out for delivery on 3rd at 6:41am

    Estimated Delivery is now the 8th! But Amazon will monitor this and ensure it is delivered Monday, so much for Zelda this weekend

    My copy of Breath of the wild hasn't turned up! Fuming with Amazon, I'm a prime member and every order I make comes next day delivery via Amazon Logistics. My Breath of the Wild order? It's been sent via Royal Mail First Class Tracked, it's still listed as out for delivery, so that means it's coming Monday now since the tracking mentions 1-2 working days

    It's worth calling your bank, I'm on the phone with HSBC at the moment trying to sort it out and apparently they flagged up the purchase as fraudulent. Morons. Hopefully it gets sorted soon.

     

    EDIT: They have reset my card, but that means the second attempt to take payment was also declined so I need to wait for the Nintendo site to reset it and input my details again. Such a hassle and HSBC are so inconsistent. They let me transfer £2000 to my university no problem, but suddenly get suspicious when I try to buy from somewhere I've bought from before, absolute morons. If this means I don't get it on launch day I will be very disappointed.

     

    Mine is Lloyds, but the same thing has occurred effectively, i'm just waiting to see if Nintendo actually try again, its been three hours since payment was updated and they haven't tried again.

     

    Live chat isn't working, emails have a 48 hour answer time, tempted to just sod them off and go to John Lewis' or Shopto now

    E-mail from Nintendo: 'Payment Problem: One or more of your items is now ready to dispatch, however there has been a problem processing the payment for your order...".

     

    I login to the website, there is no way to change my payment method on the order that I can see. I am concerned. I login to my bank account to see if I can push the payment through, can't see anything online. I decide to phone HSBC but because I haven't called them in so long, I can't remember what my security code is so I'm locked out. Thankfully a 'Resolve' button shows up on my order on the Nintendo website, I click it hoping it gives me an option to switch to PayPal, but all that it lets me do is put my card details in again. I only have one card so if this doesn't work I'm going to be stuck until the very busy Nintendo support team can get back to me about the order, by which time it will probably be too late to get it on launch. It's currently processing and i'm checking my bank account every couple of minutes to see if £400 has finally gone out. Never have I wanted money to leave my account more than at this moment. Christ this is stressful.

     

    I think it takes about 30 minutes for the system to update, so hopefully at 1am i'll know if the payment has gone through and can try to sort out a contingency if it hasn't.

     

    I had the same thing, and a text off my bank at 1 am asking if it was me trying to purchase from Nintendo

     

    Updated my details at 6:40am this morning and its still now on processing....very tempted to cancel the order if they can't guarantee delivery and try John Lewis

    I think Nintendo UK are starting processing. They just, separately for some reason, began the financial process for either the Guardian amiibo, or the carry case. Both of which are in larger orders, strangely.

     

    I got an email on Friday/Saturday saying my order was processing from Nintendo, and its sat at processing in the account screen since

    Rather irritatingly with an estimated Dispatch of the 3rd March, err no you best get it to me by the 3rd!

     

     

    As for the Hybrid debate i missed out on:

    the Switch is a Handheld and god damn it i'll treat it like every other handheld i own; i will sit in front of the TV plugged into the mains playing it like its actually a home console!

    If this is DLC more akin to back in the earlier PC days, like Mysteries of the Sith was to Jedi Knight then this is alright, actual additional content, or as Flink says like the Witcher

     

    however if this is like has happened recently on lots of other games where its content they couldn't finish in time for the release so they cut it and are selling it back to us then thats as bad as every other third party that does that on Xbox/PS4

     

    Given Nintendo's recent track record with DLC content, i think they are more likely to be the former and thats okay

    Well between Enterprise and TNG then - The Kilingons were infected with the Augment virus in Enterprise and started regressing to the human form and were eventually healed, so it would be fitting that thats during that cycle of them looking less traditional Klingon

    Its a hard decision but if she is adamant now she does not want kids, not even a glimmer of hope like i had, i'd say its not worth it, as you said its not fair on either of you.

     

    If you don't want to decide now, just ask her more about why she doesn't want kids and you'll get the feeling of whether or not she could change her mind, but if she is sincere then that's it I'm afraid there isn't any point hurting both of you.

    We don't have a thread for Star Trek in general but I thought it might be worth mentioning this Deep Space Nine documentary on IndieGoGo. It's got most of the cast involved as well as the showrunner.

     

    Unfortunately we're likely to get get stung by import fees for the physical Blu-ray.

     

    On the topic of Star Trek Discovery. The below came up today.

    It went great...but I don't know if we're meant to be and I don't know where to go from here.

     

    So we both sat down with our drinks and we were basically talking for two hours straight. We were talking about our families, our lives...everything. she said she wants to stay single but would be willing to take things slow, which is what I'd want anyway. Eventually, the subject of relationships popped up but not in a stalker-y way.

     

    I asked her about her vegan thing and she set it straight that she's now vegetarian and she's fine with me eating meat. She said it'd be easier for us both to be the same thing but she'd be okay with me because I'm 'too good of a man' and I respected her lifestyle. She asked if I wanted kids and I said "In the future, yeah, but I need to find the right woman for that first". She then dropped the news that she never wants kids.

     

    My heart sank, I can't lie. I've always wanted to be a father. I know nothing serious could come out of it, most likely. I know things change but the worst thing would be for me to fall for her and her mind is still set on never having kids.

     

    She's interested in me and really likes me but the kids thing...I want a relationship eventually...

     

    So what do I do? Carry on seeing her? Do I go on another date? Just have fun for now? I'm a bit unsure...

     

    Pull out now!

     

    Seriously its just not worth it as that is something you cannot compromise on

     

    when i started dating My girlfriend stated she didn't really want kids but wasn't sure, i weighed up things and kept at it...........and at times i've regretted that decision

    9 years i've been with her and she's slowly gone from probably not, to probably when we've bought our house (which we no have) a massive part of that was seeing her twin sister have a kid and falling in love with her nephew

    but waiting for the change in her has been excruciating and has caused some almost relationship destroying arguments between us.

    It even caused friction with my parents because they know i want kids and she didn't seem to so they were concerned i'd end up not having them, resenting her and splitting up down the line when its too late to have kids

     

    So as much as i know you were excited by this, i think if she is adamant she never wants kids, then you will have a bad time and will have to give up on having kids, which will breed regrets and resentment.

    just take this as a boost to your confidence, you got the girl and you are back on the horse

    Well i didn't want to reveal my hand and how sad i am that he was conned out of Lassiters (and his penthouse home) by...crap her names gone, and then ended up with the Motel, where he wanted to burn the place down, got framed for another series of deaths sent to prison, steph and others helped the truth come out and he got out

     

    I can't believe the might/mightnot have brought back Toadie's 13 year dead wife, sick storyline

     

    and now you all know the truth, its the only soap i semi-regularly watch

     

     

    But in terms of the flat (since were going there)

    Watch Home Alone and Home Alone 2 for reference on ways to booby trap flats/buildings, i personally think throwing bricks at his face from the roof could be good!

    Or replacing the toilet water in his home with Kerosene, stopping his water supply and rigging a blow torch to his front door

    You need to tell Paul Robinson its not Lassitors he needs to back off otherwise you'll push him off the mezzanine, amputate his other leg or frame him for murder (again)

     

    you could punch him in the face, but theres a long history of him being punched in the face, he's probably immune to it now.

    Spiders in the garage are easily killed - blast it 'clean' with a hose pipe and then mix up some dilute lemon juice and spray it around the place, spiders apparently hate citrus, i tried it and i've had less spiders and a lovely lemon smell for a few days

     

    As for driving in, git good at reversing, hug one wall and you can get out of the other door, you could screw a wooden rail down to the floor at a point where when your wheels touch it your wing mirror misses the wall by an inch, should halp as a guide.

    i did something similar for my girlfriend to rub against and learn, well i put a big piece of wood flat on the floor and it acted that way.

    My sister has (intact) asbestos on her garage roof which she'll have to get replaced eventually.

    Yeah first thing i did was ask my solicitor to have it written into the contract, i feel bad a little for being untrusting, but i don't know them to trust them and i'll never actually see them again so i really don't care.

     

    Asbestos is awful stuff, knew a guy who removed it from council houses and he used to tell me all about the stuff. Garages aren't so bad for having it, as long as its not disturbed its 'fine'

    If they hadn't agreed to anything i'd have had it removed myself, i fear the stuff.

     

    I am massively jealous. Used to walk my dog there every day back in 2006/7 and always wanted to own one of those houses. I could only afford something in Gipton back then, but would make the drive to those woods every day purely because they're perfect for dog walking and meeting other dogs. Enjoy it!

     

    I'm still not sure how i got it! I've been saving for years so has my Girlfriend so we had a fair deposit and then used a broker to get the best rate for a mortgage, but the house was a steal!

     

    All the others on the same road were between £200k and £179k, i saw this house up for £179 when i went for that first house that fell through and it was out of our budget.

    When we were forced to look again it had dropped a fair bit and the estate agent was the same estate agent that our broker worked for so we managed to negotiate a good deal.

    I think the seller just wanted a quick sale, it was a family members house and he'd been renting it off since they died and i guess they just wanted to sell up and would do anything to get the money.

     

    It needs some work, needs a new shower and a new kitchen but i'm happy enough to do it myself over the next few years.

     

    I don't usually believe this stuff but i do think its fate, its in the same estate i grew up in/lived for 25 years, its about 3 houses away from where my best friend used to live and it dropped into our budget when we lost that other house, so i just think this was the one as clichéd as that sounds
