  1. Super Mario Odyssey

Haha the skipping! Over a 100 is excellent! Wow! I've not looked how many worlds I have left to do but i'm still pre credits but at about 180 power moons. Yeah a lot of them are just scattered around. So like any Mario its pretty straightforward just to obtain the minimum pre credits. However, like all Marios the difficulty comes obtaining the additional. It is the additional that require thought really. I have been spending a lot of time in each world trying to obtain as much as I can before moving onto the next. Theres a lot more to obtaining power moons than there were korok seeds. I don't think any of the worlds have been boring. They all contain lots of content to do. Overhyped? Nah, its just a top quality game. From your posts before I am not surprised at your comments though. I love the fact in this game that like Zelda, I could set out with objective in mind then get distracted by obtaining alternative power moons en route. This game is amazing. The reasons behind the high score reviews are completely justified.
  2. Football Season 2017-18

We are top of the league For now. We spent 7 years in League 1 and just been promoted.
  3. Super Mario Odyssey

I love reading the maps to the Kingdoms i visit. Its the little touches.
  4. Super Mario Odyssey

Just done: How anyone can claim that this game lacks the Nintendo magic and soul is beyond me. It never stops me from grinning.
  5. Is 2017 Nintendo's best year ever?

For Nintendo to have two potential game of the year fantastic. A developer's dream. Only Nintendo could potentially compete against themselves for game of the year.
  6. Super Mario Odyssey

Yeah the game isn't difficult, but neither is any Mario. I found Galaxy for instance very easy to get the mimimum amount to fight Bowser. In Odyssey you do stumble across power moons quite a lot there are lots that require a little bit of thought and effort to obtain.
  7. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe League 2017

I'm so inconsistent. Cheers for the races guys. I really enjoyed it.
  8. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe League 2017

Carry on and just do the three races?
  9. Super Mario Odyssey

I've just been reading this thread: https://www.resetera.com/threads/super-mario-odyssey-review-thread.1163/ I agree with all the review summaries. It really is a special game. The review summaries really do conclude my feelings.
  10. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe League 2017

I've not played in the League for a couple of years but i'm fancying it. Would it be possible to join?
  11. Super Mario Odyssey

I love the use of cappy on various enemies etc. I enjoy using their abilities to solve puzzles and use nab moon pieces. I think it is good that although the levels are designed in part around the use of their abilities the use of classic mario gameplay is needed for the most part. The variety keeps things fresh.
  12. Super Mario Odyssey

This game has so much soul and magic. I love it. So so good. Yeah the story is a bit flat but i dont play mario for the story. The open world aspect of this game for a platformer is great. The focus on exploration (that isn't forced) is something i've hardly seen in the genre. I love the fact that power moons are plentiful. I always find i'm progressing no matter what. They are also all enjoyable to locate. For me, so far this game is up there with the rest of the mainline Mario games. Yes, its a little bit different, but like with Zelda, Nintendo has freshened things up. This in my opinion is a good thing. The game completely feels like a Mario and is so enjoyable to play. Well done Nintendo!
  13. Super Mario Odyssey

I enjoyed your review @Kaepora_Gaebora but I completely disagree with the cons that you have mentioned. Its a clear 10/10 for me.
  14. Super Mario Odyssey

Its funny, opinions. The negative aspects that you have stated above is what I love about the game.
  15. Super Mario Odyssey

I've just looked in Options menu and motion controls can be turned off completely. I'm unsure if this then maps the motion control movements to buttons though.
  16. Super Mario Odyssey

Good point. I dislike all forms of motion control too. Annoyingly this must mean that the full experience can't be enjoyed in handheld mode as the screen would be moving to get the motion in.
  17. Super Mario Odyssey

The spoiler tag thing is something that needs sorting. Anyway, I couldn't sleep last night as I was thinking about this game. That hasn't happened in a long time. @Hero-of-Time i've been using the waggle controls from the get go due to the game recommending them. I've found them surprisingly straightforward to use.
  18. General Switch Discussion

I want a way to delete game entries from the playtime record meter on the Switch. It annoys me seeing "Rayman Demo" or "Splatoon 2 test" on the list when they were not proper games.
  19. Super Mario Odyssey

I'm only part way through the 3rd kingdom. Its such a charm to play. I like discovering the moon pieces. Some are quite clever. I'm really enjoying the approach Nintendo has taken with this game. Ive never enjoyed exploring so much in a Mario game like this before. I'm going to call it a night. My farm needs attending to on Stardew Valley (what a game that is too!).
  20. Super Mario Odyssey

@Hero-of-Time Just met your favourite character
  21. Super Mario Odyssey

I've done the first main level and the game wanted me to go to the next one. I thought fuck that and returned to the level I had just done. Ive explored more and nabbed some more power moons. A few of them are well hidden with various mini stages that can only be accessed through green pipes. Its fantastic.
  22. I really enjoyed the ball maze one. Probably just me though. It was good to see motion controls put in on occasion.
  23. Super Mario Odyssey

Visuals are very impressive. Sound reminds me of Galaxy - orchestral scores.
