I dont care about the graphics. I just want a new way of gaming, without getting bored. Not a realistic Yoshi, weres the imagination after that?

Does any one know if any of the controllers for the new consoles to be fail safe? For those who dont understand, this is what I mean: When the controller runs out of battery, will the game continue running? Because I can vaguely (sp?) remember being an Xbox controller that once removed out of the socket during gameplay would instantly pause the game, making sure of no mess ups. So, does any one know if the new controllers do this? And yes this does belong in this forum because it covers Revolution too. Will the game pause once there is no signal detected from the controller? Edit: Xbox 360 will be like this, thank you android18a for the info.

Well, while I was on work experience today, I popped into game to have a quick look. And I noticed that both PS2 and Gamecube versions of Sonic gems are rated U. Now, many people were talking about the age restrictions so they said Sega most probably wont put them in. BUT, I just had a look at my old streets of rage box for megadrive and realised, theres no age rating. Now, if any of you remember, Mega drive only had age ratings if needed, like i have Robocop Vs Terminator that has a 15 age rating. So, have times changed enough for the age to come up? Because the only game ive known to do that had hot coffee in it Now, all I can say is, the game is most probably not in there. It seems Blatant Sega is gonna take us down too like the americans. But, im hoping the so called 6 hidden gems are not the game gear games but Vectorman & streets of rage. The reason for this post: Make people aware not to resort to the PS2 version just yet..

Well, i can easily imagine at the attachment port on the bottom of the controller an emergency battery pack. They do them for phones, PSP's, Gameboys, why not revolution or any other next-gen console? (Then again, PS3 controllers dont have a port, maybe you have to throw it like the boomerang it is)

I bought it yesterday too, cant say im pleased, cant say im that dissapointed either. I bought it mainly for the fact it had Sonic r, cd and fighters. Its alrite, not bad, but not great either. Sonic CD plays like a charm for me. Sega didnt do any favours for themselves by including streets of rage, and I already knew the soundtrack situation, they simply wernt allowed to put any of the japanese tracks on it.

Hmm, Sonic and Knuckles (Espeacily the dooms day zone) Sonic CD (Japanese soundtrack) Pokemon Gym leader theme (Red & Blue) Pokemon last battle theme (G,S,C Ash battle) Tetris theme, never get bored of it :P although after an hour, it does your skull in Sonic adventure 2 battle Some parts of Pokemon Colosseum Super smash bro's melee But my overall favourite is Sonic CD japanese version

I've never trusted wave birds, but then again, the wire on my controller is more than enough so i dont exactly need it. Hmm so you mean like a weak dynamo pestneb? Because the waving of the controller would need to be strong enough to make the dynamo rotate, thats the only way I can think for your idea Pestneb, kinetic energy.

Yeah i know that, but its games in general, imagine just sitting there playing your revo on a game like mariokart, do a powerslide to avoid going in the river, and the battery runs out and crash into it. Something to pause it like that when your controller is on the edge of running out of juice is what we need. Hopefully one of the companies will give word about this soon enough.

Im impressed by the graphics of the players, and yes maybe more can be done to the crowd, since the goal for Microsoft and Sony is photo-realism. If they plan on making things look real, they should of put more detail in the crowd. And to InfernalEternal, they have to work on the crowd, its the experience. You like to hear cheers when you score a few points in basket ball, and if your saying its just a crowd, that partially means we dont need it. So if we have no crowd, no cheers, no excitement and nothing to fuel you to play on. DOR2 Does have amazing graphics crowds and charecters, but im not suprised Xbox 360 cant do both with the graphics on those players.

Well this guy has said it all, none of these so called 'ex-employees' have been true (well actualy one was, with the Nintendo Nitro spec sheet), plus if they were all true, Nintendo must get alot of crap employee's EDIT: The guy mentioned he was a UK based developer, so that kinda messes up my post. Either way, i doubt any of this is true. Like i said, only one rumour about nintendo consoles was true, and that was the Nitro (DS) spec sheet.

Suicide? They've done it before. Its not all about power. Atleast back your claims up, but then again, i forgot to back mine up too.. It was in an IGN interview with a member of NOA a few days after revo's E3 revealing, they stated they will make a less powerful system so it will be quiet, energy efficient and not as expensive. Now, may you back your claim that it will be suicide for Nintendo to do that? If not, im guessing your one of those morons which realy on power and graphics, forgetting theres a revolutionary controller. Nintendo's goal is to attract new and ex video game players, not to make a powerful system.

Well that game must of been tried by shigeru himself... Yeah, GTA wont happen on cube. Not wide enough audience to buy it on cube believe it or not. Maybe next-gen perhaps?

Ok, im definitly going to buy the Gamecube version because its convinient and im a fan of sonic. But, one of my favourite games of all time is Streets of rage (I mentioned this in an earlier post) So, later on in the year, im considering buying a version with Streets of Rage on it. But what should i go for, Import (I have the disk to play imports) or PS2? The ps2 in my house is in my bro's room, so that means i'd have to ask to go on it, and share the game (Great...), but that way, i get a cheap version with the streets of rage trilogy. But, I could go for import. This way, i can play it on my gamecube, but there is a set back, the price. On Lik-sang (the only place to buy a japanese version of gems) it is currently at 35 pounds. 15 pound more than the version i got. But this way, I can play it in my room, Streets of rage, and the japanese sound track to sonic CD which many will admit is fantastic. And yes, i know its pretty silly to buy another version, but 20 pound or a lil bit more for 3 mega drive classics for a most prob last chance is great for me. Which one do you think I should go for? (Oh yeah, the import one also has bonanza bro's on it, what ever that is )

I wasnt dissapointed with the gamecube, it was a good system. The downsides: After a while, most developers lost interest, so big games on other systems didnt make it to gamecube. Lack of advertising campaigns! Sure, ive seen a few, but thats all. Nintendo could of saved there asses from being worst selling console by giving it a little bit of encouragement. Same for the DS..
