I think the Switch will be pretty great by the end of this year, but it's a pretty easy pass until then. What a shame.

Has to be Splatoon. Hoping for Zelda and Splatoon at launch now, Mario shown and revealed but the meat saved for E3, that way we get one hefty singleplayer and one multiplayer from Nintendo to take us through the launch. Anything else (like Monster Hunter XX yo!) would be a day one bonus.

I have tomorrow off work so debating an all-nighter tonight, I'd get about 3 hours sleep given my anticipated bedtime and awakening anyway so might as well nap after the presentation tomorrow morning (and pre-orders are locked in) and wake up in time for news/Treehouse to kick off.

I plan to use the UK Nintendo Store for launch as they've never let me down, but I'll drop a few safety net orders down elsewhere if they don't put anything up on Friday morning.

I have one of the Majoras Mask wooden-looking replicas from Etsy and it looks awesome up on the wall. They're cast in a type of plastic and painted to look very tribal and wooden. Lightweight too and can hang on a very weak nail or hook with zero fatigue issues. The First4 Figures one looks like a nice collectible piece, but those gigantic eyes definitely kill it for me.

Live conference, ample press and coverage, hands-on reports from the press and enthusiast public. This thing is basically a modern reinvention of the old Spaceworld shows.

This is really good so far. The connection requirement is already super annoying when commuting but at least the game pauses to display the error and reconnects when a service is available again. Crazy news about the jailbreak thing. Do any other big name apps take that sort of approach? How does the app even know if your device has been jailbroken after a total clean install?

It took me ages to actually click the button - the mapping area for the link itself is hilariously small. You need to open it on a desktop browser ideally and hover the mouse around on the button until the cursor changes to acknowledge the link.

Beat the game last night at about 45 hours. Really great. Now to decide whether or not to aim for the big league and try catching 'em all.

Seeing a lot of negativity around this news. It won't really affect me at all but it really feels like I'm in the minority. GG, Nintendo. It's even more bizarre when you look at Reggie's quote the other day... It was made in relation to microtransactions, but it kinda suits here. That mobile data ain't free, Reg!

Our GAME DPD delivery of the Collector's Edition went from estimated arrival of 2pm-3pm to 6am-midnight. One last delay.

Had a dream I played a Game Boy Micro last night. Now I want one.

And they just keep on finding ways to take my money.

3 for 2 at Smyths Toys at the moment. Not sure if in-store (no click and collect on them) but available online. New Zelda/Mario Family ones are included. Time to give my WAAAAAAHnting collection a BOOst. [edit] I bought six.

Nice trailer and gameplay. Mystery NPC seems cool. I look forward to the weird noises the citizens of Hyrule make when you speak to them.

Wow... that's awesome. It was pretty clear the popularity of GO would have an impact on the sales. I still like GO and I'm loving Sun so far. Great to see Pokemon going strong all these years later. Let's hope Super Mario Run and the Mario Switch game is a similar success story.

I really need to grab a few games with you guys, so definitely happy to organise something! Can't say my skills are too hot, but I currently play most days with a bunch of the old C-E/N-E Halo 2 crowd, and we do alright! It's definitely a game where a decent co-op performance by an entire team can utterly balance out any skill gaps, but there are so many different play styles you'll definitely find someone that clicks with you after a few games. The game does seem pretty repetitive on first glance but I've been surprised how much variety there is for something with so few game types. They're adding a lot as time goes on too and have good seasonal events to mix things up. Christmas will be a good time to jump in for sure.

Picked up Titanfall 2 PS4 for £20 (!) this morning in HMV, Oxford Street branch. Xbox One version same price. Lots of other reductions, well worth a look if you're about this morning.
