Leaked a month or so back but EA have finally confirmed real-time transfer and contract negotiations and more in-depth cutscenes interwoven throughout the manager career mode experience (such as a Ballon d'Or presentation for the year's best player or the media unveiling of a marquee signing in the news section of the menu), as well as a new transfer hub.

Seeing as this is the main mode for which I've played FIFA over the last few years, I'm happy to finally see some strong features added to the mode.

Apparently the visuals/graphics are on par with Fifa 16 on PS4 which is what I'm playing so more than happy with that. Going to be very tough starting again on ultimate team as my current squad is pretty awesome. I can see myself spending some serious bucks in the first few weeks trying to get some decent players. I'm definitely going to try out the other modes this team and hope we can get a N-E squad together. Really can't wait for this.

Apparently Ross Barkley has turned down a last-minute move to Chelsea. Deal agreed at £30million. Player began his move and travelled to London for the medical and but is reported to have changed his mind and is on the way back now. Wow!

Thank God for that. The players Chelsea are going for make no sense.

  3. It's bizarre that Conte seemingly won't play Azpilicuetta at RWB even though he is a RB by trade. He'd be much better than Moses who is so far out of his depth in that team and would allow us to play 3 "proper" CB across the back three. Drinkwater is a strange one. Against better teams he'll no doubt play Kante & Bakayoko for solidity and use Fabregas against weaker teams to unlock defences so those 3 will get rotated a bit anyway. Not sure when Drinkwater will actually get a game?

Just need to get Costa & Remy off the books and in my opinion go all out for van Dijk & Sanchez.

  4. I bought this for Wii U but literally played it for about 10 minutes! I do love a online shooter though so I think I'll pick this up this week as I'm liking the sound of team battles. I will be pretty shit for a while until I get I to the mechanics of the game, so be patient or go easy on me depending which team I'm on.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is going to Chelsea. Why?! How is he going to get into that side? Which position is he going to play in?

Well I hope it's RWB in place of the waste of space that is Moses. Otherwise it's a stupid transfer by Chelsea.

I think training with Zlatan is going to be a fantastic learning experience for Lukaku too, he's more mobile that Zlatan but otherwise they're similar powerful target men so he'll be able to learn a lot from training with him. Zlatan also has an absurd amount of Champions League experience where Lukaku has none (as far as I can remember).

Liverpool fans will be relieved, Barca have agreed a deal for Dortmund's Ousmane Dembele so it's pretty unlikely that they'll continue in their pursuit of Coutinho.

Liverpool are crazy not to sell Coutinho for the numbers being mentioned. They already have an abundance of attacking players and could really build an overall strong team with £100+ million.

I think this transfer deadline day will be epic. Several players wanting moves and there will no doubt be some last minute shenanigans.

Zlatan scored 28 goals for United last season, with 17 out of those in 28 league games. It's a similar rate to Costa and Aguero. Why would United turn down the opportunity to sign a striker like that, especially one who has already proven to be successful and popular? Even with the wages (which United can afford), he comes with a huge brand and United will be able to recuperate that cost through merchandise. It's an absolute no-brainer.

Players need competition, or else they become complacent. Lukaku will definitely be there as the first choice striker, but we need player to come in to replace him if his form dips or if he has an injury. It's important to have strength in the whole squad now, especially with European football.

As for the "apparently" Mourinho complaints - Chelsea are notorious and have form for sacking managers at the first sight of pretty much anything, so I pay very little attention to that.  There are already talks of people coming in to replace Conte (Thomas Tuchel being one of a list of many), which I guess just sums the club up really. They don't need an excuse to get rid of people.

Zlatan had an immense season, but the bottom line is he got injured and you spent £75 million replacing him. So one of them is going to be sitting on the bench, unless Mourinho blindsides us all and plays two strikers.

As for Chelsea I wasn't suggesting Mourinho got the sack because of the players he let go on the cheap (if we were top of the league it wouldn't have been an issue) but the point is he transfer policy was already in question.

I'm sure Utd can afford the wages plus merchandise etc, but just because you can afford to do something doesn't mean you should. As a Chelsea fan we have a long history of abysmal transfer dealings, but the likes of Rashford and Lingard are going top suffer because of this.

  8. madness if you ask me. £250k a week to come on for the last 20 minutes to keep Lukaku fresh or play in League Cup games. Or the alternative is £75 million Lukaku sits on the bench. Either way, a stupid deal. Mourinho's transfer business continues to be questionable. Apparently shortly before he got the axe at Chelsea for the second time he had to explain to the board why he let both Lukaku and De Bruyne leave. I guess they were not impressed with his reasons as he was sacked after the next match.

  9. Keep looking for info on FIFA Switch but not really getting anywhere.

Is Switch definitely just getting the basic version of the Game (no Ronaldo or Icon editions) I don't want to pre-order until I know what my options are.

What version of FIFA on PS4 will this be comparable to? Someone mentioned it's still the ignite engine albeit customised.

  10. Bit of advice please.

Looking for a couple of multiplayer games for me an Ferret Jnr for our flights.

What's the best NEO GEO fighting game on the eshop?

Is Fatal Fury or King of Fighters the better series?

And likewise Metal Slug or Shock Troopers?

Finally, Soccer Sidekicks looks like an early PES/ISS, how does it play.

Any other must have games in the £6.29 range?

Love how people now using the excuse. It's just a beta version.

My god, gotta love that Nintendo defence force.

What a fucking stupid comment. IT IS A BETA. The full service won't launch until.next year. This is purely a functional stop gap for splatoon and yes it's pretty shit right now but you cant judge the final service on the current set up.

  12. Yes I was cat peach plus I had the wrong set up for the 1st gp. I had just joined the room when the 10 second countdown started and I was manically scrolling through the vehicles.

I have not played battle mode yet so I didn't know the game or the arenas but I really didn't like it. I was either nowhere near the shine with a weapon or right behind him with a bloody mushroom and on the few occasions I did shoot him somebody else nicked the shine. I knew battle mode would ruin my league position.

  13. @Rummy

It was exactly the same when the paid online service was announced. Everyone went crazy although it was blazingly obvious that the price would be sub £20. Likewise with this app, its a beta with a feedback section. I think you'd be nuts to assume it won't change not the other way round. The one thing I think won't change is that it will be purely for in game chat and not for general chat with anybody who is playing the switch but not the same game as you.

  14. We've been here before. And whilst at the moment the app looks seriously flawed. It's only purpose at present is for in game voice chat whilst playing splatoon. Personally I understand their logic in the app being used purely for this purpose.  I know some people on here just like to chat to friends whilst playing totally different games. Bottom line is that 1. People on here are once again taking the worst case scenario as gospel. 2. The app will most likely be entirely functional once it's released properly
