Was anyone else aware there is apparently a Friends-with-benefits zone? Because I think that's where me and London Girl have slipped to. Saw Grave Of The Fireflies last night. Incredibly powerful film, and hard to watch at times. Was with London Girl who has seen it a few times before and it still caught her (and me) up. Surprisingly emotional watching.. made harder by the fact that you know that sort of thing actually happened during the war. But it was very well made. Great.

Urgghhhh gutted I missed out on the Touchpads. And the internet is just ablaze looking for the last of the stock to be posted on an array of websites. Doubt I'll get one, and looking is doing my swede in. If anyone does find/hear about any.. feel free to @ me or something

I miss the match reports

I'm pleased to report that this sold really well today - at least in the store I work in. We had 8 of the Special Editions and we sold 6 of them by the end of the day. We had 12 copies of the standard edition and we're down to 3. I'd consider that a huge success if the numbers are similar around the country. I'm extremely tempted to pick it up despite not loving my Wii and/or JRPG's much. That said I love the Tales games - any similarities?

Had a fucking shit day at work. Don't know if I can hack it after all - am simply a senior sales assistant in training but because the Deputy Manager is so incompetant, I'm essentially running the store when he's in. The manager knows all about it but can't really do anything and thus we're stuck in a rut. The worst thing is that my old job isn't even there for me any more as they've hired someone to fill my contract in my old store. Which means if I change my mind or fail my MTL course (training) I'll basically lose my job. And with the store being such a major effort drainer I can't give it my all. Seriously worried. Fun times.

Some sort of one-shot feature with an amusing story of the creation on the clan might be an idea. I'd read it anyway And I love the idea of a weekly reporton how you're doing sort of thing, if you were entering tournaments or running them on the forum for example. Sounds great!

So. Many. Hipsters. I'm surprised there are so many of them in one place, you'd expect them to shun it for being too mainstream. I always love walking through Shoreditch. It feels so different to any part of the country I've been in, like nobody gives a fuck. You do what you want, nobody cares. I love that the most offensive thing that happened there during the riots was that someone dropped a cup of tea in the road. It is FUCKING INCREDIBLE. I cannot stress enough how amazing the beigal shop is. They never ever close, and they're surprisingly cheap for London. The salmon and cream cheese... or the bacon and tomato sauce.. just.. I just want to have a lifetime supply of their bagels/beigals (I believe it's the Jewish spelling?) to consume. The girl I'm seeing (London Girl) lives 90 seconds off Brick Lane. Such a charismatic place. It's amazing how out of place I feel there when I've come directly from work in my shirt and tie - but again I don't give a shit because nobody else does. I want the rest of the country to be Brick Lane.

Microsoft rep came in to my store yesterday to play the Gears of War LE console sounds for when you turn the 360 on an open the tray. Slightly disappointed that there isn't a chainsaw sound but instead the GoW "tone" if you will when you turn it on, and the multiplayer alert noise when you open the tray. It actually works really well

Woo, yay, etc. The only standard band music game series worth giving a damn about returns for Rock Band 3 later this year. Promising to redefine the music genre once more, I wonder what we can expect to see this time around? Here's hoping it won't be a disappointment. Details are on the low right now, the game only being announced in some sort of internal meeting and following up with twitter/facebook announcements. What we do know is that there was a comment made a while ago by a Harmonix staff member claiming the next instalment of RB would get us learning how to play instruments? Then again, they said the same thing about the Drum Trainer, and I only touched that for achievements.. Thoughts/opinions? Day one for me. I love me some Rock Band.

Wow.. great price! They're still £70 everywhere else. I'm gutted as I finally saved the money for one of the fully stringer Squier guitars only to discover they're not in production anymore. I was trying to decide if I wanted one and decided to go for it only to discover this news. I AM NOT HAPPY.

VVVVVV is the best game everrrrrrrrr, I highly recommend everyone pay a million squillion pounds for it.
