    Oh dear...

    http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/09/pokemon_boss_didnt_think_switch_would_be_a_success_in_the_age_of_the_smartphone

I guess me and @Glen-i were right in saying that TPC were (very likely) planning on going full mobile with the mainline series, at least before the Switch blew up; terrifying to think about.  Also worrying to think that TPC's strategy isn't congruent with Nintendo's even now, as well as the fact that this guy still doubts the Switch in the long term...

With people like him at the head of TPC, I don't feel comfortable with the direction the brand is taking...

To be fair, it was a fair shout. Switch doing well is great but it could very easily have gone wrong.

I doubt he still thinks it. I imagine we'll start seeing spin-offs on Switch soon :)

Yeah, I plan on getting the season pass. I'm happy throw more money at this game.

For the challenges I had to change my team setup. All the way through the game I was using Luigi and Rabbid Peach but they just didn't cut it for the Ultimate stages. I ended up using Rabbid Luigi and Rabbid Mario.

The Ultimate stages are mainly about being able to:

    1. Keep everyone's health up to a decent level

    2. Dispatch groups of enemies quickly to either clear a path or for the objective itself.

Both Rabbid Luigi and Mario have Vampire weapons. Also, with R. Luigi also having a Vampire slide move, and a large movement area, this comes in handy to use just to inflict the status so someone else could get back some HP. This helps keeps everyone's health up, so that sorts out the first issue.

The second issue can be tackled by R. Mario. These challenges have a crazy amount of enemies to deal with so what I would do was to use Mario's oversight/shoot when he sees a target moving ability in conjunction with R. Mario's draining enemies in ability. This draws them in and allows Mario to pick a couple of them off.

After that, depending on the positioning of enemies, I would either use R. Mario's shotgun, which does insane damage to multiple enemies at close range, or use his slide move which allows for 3 attacks but the range of impact on it is nuts, hitting numerous enemies who are close by.

Oh, bear in mind that R. Mario's slide move can hit your own team, as can his shotgun. I found it best to either use him first to clear a path or allow the other two members to take their turns and move them well out of the way.

I hope all of this makes sense and helps you out. :)

Thanks! I was using Rabbid Peach due to her Heal ability, but more Vamp status might be what the doctor orders!

I think it's becoming more increasingly common for people to live at home with parents for longer, especially as house prices are extortionate and it's just impossible for a large section of society to get on that ladder.

I can definitely say that I have had no regrets about initially moving away from home and from now buying our own place. It's really awesome to know that you can make alterations or big changes and there's a greater sense of ownership. It's good that you acknowledge that you want to make your own way, which shows that you're ready. Sometimes we appreciate things more when we know that there's a great deal of difficulty involved in it. Good luck!

Will the new place be for both you and your partner?

Yes and no. The mortgage and house will be mine alone for now, but we do intend to live together. Should the relationship continue positively then who knows :)

Man, what a challenge those Ultimate stages are. I think I know the final one like the back of my hand due to how many times I had to repeat the thing. :D

Nice! I'm still struggling with the Ultimate Challenges somewhat so any tips would be appreciated.

Will you be getting the DLC?

Seriously, once you move out and settle you will love it. Having your own place is the best!

I do have concerns over keeping myself alive when I shut myself away for game coverage. I seldom choose to eat during those times, food is just brought to me. That's why I haven't moved out on my own just yet.

Now I have Marti, that's less of an issue, but there's a lot of concern about site management with this.

I hear you re the comfortable thing.

Our current house is in the same close as my parents (2 doors down, so just one neighbour between us both).

My BF was completely cool with it when we bought, and we are never bothered by my parents they never come round lol.

But my middle sis still lives with my parents and my older sis lives literally round the corner on her own, and we have a family dog (labrador) who lives with my parents so I walk him some nights and he pops round every night on his walk for a digestive. :D.

It's great and I love this house.

But my BF isn't happy. Doesn't like the neighbours next to us, who granted are wankers, doesn't like how small the house is and doesn't want to spend money on areas that need it (like the bathroom) as it won't add value. I wouldn't want to move, but the additional space in our new house is great and we're still only 5 mins away.

It's compromise really. Part of being in a relationship and all that!

Yeah true. All the places I'm looking at are relatively nearby just so I can rush home to assist mum if she needs it now she's getting older.

That plus 31 living with my parents is a bit odd. I'm turning into Robert from Everybody Loves Raymond :p  I just am so comfortable here but it's time to make my own routes, especially now I'm in a serious relationship

The viewing part is the really fun bit. You get to go to all of these different places (and you will see a huge range!) and just imagine if you could see yourself living there. The first one we looked at was lovely downstairs, but the garden and upstairs killed it for us. The second place we looked at was just completely different in almost every way. A bit of a pain to park and the kitchen was practically none existent. It was so hilariously small and I knew from @Eenuh's reaction that it was no straight away.

Well I still need to get an Accountant's Certificate to prove that I am self employed for the mortgage before anything can happen so these viewings could wind up pointless

This whole thing makes me nervous though. I'm comfortable here :(

    Cheers. Worked a treat.

I tried the final Ultimate level earlier....yeah, that's gonna take some time. You have 30 moves to guide Toad through a labyrinth of spawning enemies. I think I got half way ( took ages to get there ) and then got killed. :(

Well that's going to be annoying

So, how do you do the Uphill Battle one? I still can't figure it out.

You need people with Pipe movement 6. Put Mario into the one where the Tornado spawns, get Rabbid Yoshi or Luigi as far up as you can get where it'd be right side of Tornado, and have the other one bounce on top of him to reach the one where the tornado ends up

Give all your team shoddy weapons. Start off by using Luigi's special so that you can move more spaces. Fire with Mario at the closest enemy. Direct Rabbid Peach to the left hand side area and Luigi to the right. Bounce Mario off Luigi and land just above the nearest enemy.

Heres a pic. Sorry, I don't how to embed Twitter pics on my phone.

I really should consider using Luigi for these more haha. Thanks

It's challenge 9 on the fourth world. It's called Uphill Battle. It's the far area I can't reach. I assume you have to use the tornado and enemy fire but I can't figure out the positioning.

Oh. Mine is the other similar challenge in the fourth world. No tornado.

Thanks for the offer but I figured it out after what you told me earlier. There are a few more challenge stages like that later on and I put into practice what you said about letting the enemies hit you.

I've just got 6 more challenges left to do. 4 of them are the Ultimate difficulty ones, another is one that requires me to take out a crazy amount of enemies in a set amount of moves and the final one is one of the puzzle type ones. You have to get your team to 3 separate points on the map but only in a single move.

I think I'm on the same one as the final one. Can't for the life of me figure it out.
