'Sup crackaskillet. I don't have to work Saturday morning so we can meet earlier at the show if you want? One of my friends has pulled out (family issues), which I think puts my geniune homosexual friend out as well. So I think it's just me, you, Happenstance and whoever you bring.

Although me and Happenstance coming relies solely on whether I can get insurance for the car I'm buying tomorrow.

2 things I forgot to mention about the car show:

1: Feel free to bring whoever you want (obviously).

2: One of my friends is a geniune homosexual. Best keep the "lol what a gaylord" type conversations to a minimum (I struggle to stick to this). He's not beyond throwing a megatantrum and ruining everyones day. It will be painfully obvious who he is. Other weird ReZisms are perfectly acceptable.

Actually you can camp at the show. It's Saturday the 31st October to the Sunday. But nothing happens on the Sunday, just people racing their own cars on the drag strip. It costs £20 for the Saturday and £25 if you want to camp. To be honest, I can take or leave the camping.

I just realised the themefest is the weekend after VW Action instead of before, so I won't be needing it for a while. I could leave my tent with you and pick it up some other time if you want?

Ah, I forgot about that! It's up to you really. I'll be picking Happenstance up and possibly convoying there with another car (2 other people).

Here is a rough map of the area. I'm in Banbury. We could meet somewhere neutral if you want? Like Milton Keynes or something. Do you have a SatNav? Mine was left in my car when it was stolen so I'm pretty much fucked for finding my way there from somewhere other than here.

Any time is good for me. This weekend? Would make sense as it's the minimeat date.

Any particular film you want to see?

As far as car shows go, this one is a bit of a middle ground. It's not a full on Chav fest with strippers etc (seriously, I've seen a stripper at a car show. It was seedy as fuck) and it's not exactly a family friendly kiddyfest either. It's basically bonfire night with cars. Cars that throw fire out the back.

Should be fun! Although seeing all those cars and fire in the same place might give me a horrible, gulf war syndrome style flashback.

Cool. Would I have to report to reception and pay when I get there or just find you guys? If it's just a case of finding you guys, if you could mention that I'll be coming later to them it would be handy. I wouldn't want them thinking I'm a gypsy/drunk looking for a place to kip for the night.

I have never stayed at a proper campsite before.

Do you use the viewfinder or the screen to take pictures? If it's the viewfinder, there might be a little dial or something to adjust the view. If there is no dial, make sure nothing is loose. Failing that, see if your mirror is loose or if it can be adjusted. Just be careful though.

If it's the screen, I have no idea. The screen should really show what the sensor sees, so any photos should be the same as the preview. Although I just googled the camera and it seems that it uses a different sensor for the liveview than for actually taking pictures. I'm guessing that could cause it, since the liveview sensor will be mounted in a different place, possibly causing a different perspective.

Are both the screen preview and the viewfinder affected or just one? That might help narrow it down.

All this is only a guess though.

Does it have to be a 1 man tent? I already have quite a sizeable tent (4 or 5 man, with a porch area that could probably sleep 3 or 4 as well, depends how cosy you can handle). People are welcome to sleep in it if need be. Although I won't be staying the sunday night, so you're on your own for that night.

Plus Happenstance and I are going to another car show on bonfire night if you want to join us? Link. One year the rocket car blew up. It was amazing. It's only a day show though, no camping.

Forgot about the epic theme fest (sacrelidge I know). I don't think I'll be able to book the monday off. I can only really take holiday during half terms, plus the 14th will be the time I'll be training in my new job.

I'll still tag along for the Friday-Sunday, Ill just have to bail on the sunday. I'll take my car so I can bail and you guys don't have to make a special trip.

I finished work early. Which is strange considering we're still busy and working both days at the weekend. Oh well.

On a related note, I don't think I can make it this weekend again. I'm working/going to Middleton Music Festival tomorrow and working most of the day Sunday. Busy time should be over soon though. Schools break up 22nd July.

I got it changed since I decided I don't like goaferboy anymore. Introducing myself as goaferboy made me realise the names a bit shit.

And capitals are for gheylords. I'm totally pushing the envelope, gleaning the cube and assaulting the pancreas. Or whatever, either way I'm doing it hard.

I'd give the car a wide berth to be honest. Looks like it's been in a crash at some point.

I reckon we could sleep 2 in the tent and 2 in the porch if we wanted space, or 3 in each if people don't mind being cosy. It's apparently a 4 man tent, but 4 people in the actual tent part would be silly

It's still my goal in life to sleep outside at some point, so if the weather is good, I'm totally doing it.
