  1. I don't know about you guys, but I'm still feeling massively sad about this.

Maybe should stop watching all those tributes on Youtube and gaming sites.

This one is so heartbreaking for example:

Really shows what impact Iwata and Nintendo have had on certain peoples youth or even lives.

I feel ya, man. Been doing the same thing.

Still thinking of a way to pay tribute...

  2. Never have I read about the death of a well-known person and cried, but this one got me god.

Maybe it's because I've been going through some emotional times myself, but after the initial shock this morning I just broke down and cried.

People like Satoru Iwata remind me that you can touch millions of people around the world simply by doing what you love.

I thank him for his contributions to a company that has brought me great joy over the years and ultimately lead me to Japanstudies at university.

May he return to the one life in peace and find beautiful form yet again!

  3. I hope to come in one day when Advance Wars 3DS is announced, which will unify the entire forum and instigate world peace.

    Advance Wars sucks :p

    Alright, now you've done it.

I didn't want to get too involved in all of this mess, but you've crossed the line now mister.

You sir, should need to take a step back from Pokémon-ism and journal-ism and enjoy the other, more finer, more advanced things in life.

  4. They did. The resulting complaint was "Epona feels stiff in TP", despite being modelled after an actual horse :heh: This is because, in Shadow of the Colossus, Agro feels great, despite not behaving like an actual horse does.

Funny, to me it felt the opposite

Epona felt natural to me but I didn't think it was modelled after a real horse, whilste Agro felt hard to control....like an actual horse.

  5. I've always felt that if the NX is going to be a handheld and a home console with closely shared architecture, Pokemon could be the series to drive home the interconnectability between Handheld, Home Console and perhaps Smartphone.

  6. Going through my own written log here's what I've played so far:

    あつめて!カービィ (Kirby: Mass Attack)

Played this one in Japanese and quite enjoyed it. I can see why some would feel that Pikmin or perhaps a new franchise would've been better suited for this type of gameplay.

Paper Mario & The Thousand Year Door

A lady friend of mine is playing this and I'm a passionate spectator who is granted nostalgic highs through watching her play.

This game, along with the Windwaker, was one of my first GameCube games I bought with my own money and played to death, therefore I have soooo many good memories of it. It's really nice to see someone experience it for the first time.

(We can almost do the classic Luigi sidequest)

Anyways, this is a work in progress and a week ago we completed Chapter 6 so we're approaching the end.

    Fire Emblem: Awakening

Completed this in March I think on hard straight out of the gate.

Very difficult in the beginning, much easier later with my own destructive duos.

    Loved the artstyle and music.

    Muramasa: The Demon Blade

After having cleared Kisuke's path year ago, I still have Momohime's path to clear.

This is also a work in progress and I believe I have landed somewhere in hell.

This game makes me sad I don't own a Vita so I can download all the extra storyline DLC.

Such a great exclusive for the Wii this was.

    メイド・イン・ワリオ:さわる(Wario Ware Touched)

Play this from time to time in short bursts to brush up on my Japanese verbs :3

    KORG-DSN12

I finally downloaded this a month or two ago and have experimented with music creation :)

I'm fairly pleased with this purchase, and I hope to return to it every now and then to further my song: 'The Deep'

    New Super Mario Bros U

At long last I finished this with a friend a few days ago, and by finish I mean I achieved 4 stars next to my save file.

I suppose the 5th star will have something to do with Nabbit?

Trying to find all the star coins together was a real bast and it reinvigorated my love for 2D Mario games.

Now we go onwards to New Super Luigi U!

    Shantae and The Pirate's Curse

  7. I think it was just a philosophical statement.

All posts are too short. There is never enough time. The relevant information is lacking.

Haha, I was actually referring to all the "post" periods in written history, which need more time to develop before they are attacked by an anti-thesis.

    :blank:

    Just kiddin'.

No, yesterday I typed something out and wanted to post it in the 'Let's talk about this place' thread, but every time it said my post was too short...:wtf:

I think it's resolved now though.

  8. And that's the reason for this thread. I feel it's affecting all of us and I feel it isn't properly being talked about - so I want to offer a space in which to do exactly that and talk about it. I've already spoken to some people privately but there's many more of us than that. Basically - I'm asking you all as the community here(members, mods, admins and anyone else forgotten) to talk to me about it - as honestly as you like. What is, if anything, bugging you the most?What do you feel is the way forward and how do we move on from this? This place is still very close to me, and I presume to all of you that it keeps you coming back, but we've got a problem and we need to talk about it and look to a way forward, so;

You know, this hit me right in the emotion.

Maybe it's because I've been going through a very rough period in my life, I feel that much more grateful that such a community like this actually exists.

Even though I've dwindled away for a bit, I do still keep coming back to ol' Njurp and I still have an intent to meet some of you guys in person some day.

So a big THANKSto all the guys and gals who keep this place up 'n running.

Now, to the matter at hand.

I'd say the thing that bothers me the most is the dragging on of feuds or what have you.

Identifying oneself with your personal thoughts is folly to some extent, but some people go so far that they forget to leave room for other people's preferences thus resulting in bickering and tiresome quarrels spanning multiple threads...

There's nothing wrong with expressing opinions, but you cannot convince everybody of your perceived brilliance so just let it go...

Please, good people of planet Njurp, don't take your own thoughts too seriously.

So now can we PLEASE all agree that Paper Mario: Sticker Star is one of the most boring, uninspired games (not a Paper Mario game, but game in and of itself) of the century!

    An affront to gamers everywhere!

Let us unite against this monster and send it back to the shadows!

  9. Nintendo Life reports that back in 2011, Nintendo reached out to Criterion, creators of the Burnout franchise, to work on a pitch for an F-Zero that would be shown at E3 that year, with the game itself launching in 2012 alongside the Wii U. Unfortunately, Criterion weren’t able to commit to it as they were too busy with their own series.

While this isn’t official information, Liam Robertson, known for his work with Unseen64, usually is pretty accurate in his reports.

If they were more covered up, you wouldn't be able to appreciate their body shapes as much. Take a look at Risky Boots, for instance (2nd from left) - yes, she has fantastic boobs, legs and hourglass hips, but I also like her latissimus dorsi just as much! It's pure aesthetic enjoyment.

This guy knows what it's all about :awesome:

  11. I'm still letting this amazing cross-over sink in.

It's literally a dream I've been having for quite some time and I am happy to see that it has taken form :)

Now, it got me thinking, does the fact that AlphaDream is handling this game mean that...

    ...wait for it...

A team over at IntelligentSystems finally has time for a new Advance Wars?
