  1. Koei Tecmo appears to be readying another character reveal for Hyrule Warriors. The game’s official Twitter account teased that the probability of an announcement is 98%, and fans are advised to check out this week’s issue of Famitsu.

Expect the news to leak out as early as tomorrow. As always, we’ll have the news here as soon as it breaks.

    Could it be.....could it be!

  2. I remember really enjoying looking for those Tri Force pieces, because it felt like you were a real treasure hunter.

Some were also hidden in some neat little places too, if I recall correctly.

It never really killed the game for me really...

  3. I agree. Got this in the MK8 promo and in awe. Didn't really get into Pikmin 1 or 2 but this is just stunning. I actually love the Nintendoland-esque control setup now too. It's a brilliant game. I have a new found love for all things Pikmin. Feels good to be part of the groupies. :heh:

    Welcome, my friend, welcome.

I also got this out of the MK8 promo (actually, Eevilmurray send me a physical copy and I gave him my download code for Windwaker) and it's quite ironic that I'm getting this game so late seeing as I was Miyamoto's bitch everytime he talked about Pikmin 3.

I think I will give myself a day to properly experience a first playthrough and the another day to recover from it's beauty.

I already know I will go all out with taking screenshots in this game.

  4. I agree. In regards to creativity I sometimes think modern dev lists now look like this:

    • Is it on trend
    • Guns? We need guns!
    • We need a licence. A brand!
    • Is it safe? Will it APPEAL.
    • Will it make money?
    • We should probably test it for bugs...wait...nah. DLC will fix that.
    • This is a risk-free zone. These things cost too much so MUST sell

A good list of what is wrong with the system : peace:

I really like that the indie scene has boomed so much as it has in the last few years, because these are mostly just passionate dudes who just want to create.

You don't need money to incentivize, you don't need competition to incentivize, because that is just really not having faith in the greatness of a human being and what makes it tick.

I'd say we are beings who love to create and one way or another we will do this, but then you have all these restrictions crippling creativity so much and it just puts a frown on my face. That's why I love seeing these indie games pop up all over the place and look in awe at all the quirky and unique game concepts.

Shame we've started to believe in this system too, really a shame, but I guess if people think that the only way they can come up with more creative ideas is through competition instead of putting great minds together then so be it...just a shame it creates such a hostile environment.

  5. I guess they want the visual experience to be there first and foremost, I can dig that...

    ...if I had a backwards-shovel that is.

I hope they don't have a fear of that mystical word called 'options'.

  6. Okay, after having played more of this game, both online and offline, there is no denying that there is definitely something up with the items you get.

I have a theory that it might also take into account the distance between you and the one in front of you, because why else would I get a golden mushroom twice whilst driving 2nd with the number 1 having put quite some distance between me and him.

This could also explain why it's more common to get, say, a green shell or 1 mushroom whilst driving in 8th place with the number 7 right in front of you.

I mean, who gets a freaking green shell when they're in 12th place in a Mario Kart game?

  7. I've never experienced that tbh, although maybe it depends on kart/character combos too.

Yeah, it probably does, and whether or not you get the full boost at the start.

But because the coins really make a difference especially in the beginning.

That's why I also always go for coins first, especially when I'm starting 1st and have 0 coins.
