Donkey Kong Country Series
Hero-of-Time replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Im making good progress on this, just finished the 3rd world while getting all of the secret Koins and Bonus Stages that each level has to offer. I was laughing at myself before as I found myself doing the same thing as I did when playing this all those years ago. To this day I still swap Diddy for Dixie at the end of the level just to hear her guitar solo -
What with all the 3rd parties now starting to see the potential of the Wii and shifting their titles towards the console I was wondering about the following question. If Nintendo was to buy ANY 3rd party company which would you want them to buy and why? My choice would have to go to Capcom. The company has such a great back catalogue of games, characters and franchises. Getting all the Resident Evil games exclusive aswell as the DMC, Onimusha and Megaman series would simply be awesome. Also throw in a new Powerstone and we would certainly be onto a winning combination. Capcom have proved themselves before with handling a few of the handheld Zelda titles, so if Nintendo gave them one of their own franchises to work on then I dont think there would be anything to worry about. Lastly I have big respect for Capcom purely for their support for the Sega Saturn and the Dreamcast. With all of these thing that I have mentioned Capcom would be the choice for me. Your turn!

I was pretty shocked to see that this game went straight in at number 6 in the charts this week. Methinks GuyFromSparks lass sanpped up more than 1 copy..... I managed to get my first gold medal yesterday after I finally managed to figure out the best control methods for most of the activities. I have unlocked around 50 recipies, only 250 odd to go. -
I think im in the 20 odd hour mark and I still havent got all the Pink Eleedes and S ranks so again there is still plenty for me to do. Did you pick this up then Cube? LMBO. Thats a valid point! The place was trashed by the time I had finished with it and not just the house either, pretty much the whole neighbourhood!

After reading the online playtest over on IGN im extremely optimistic about this game. I will be willing to have a kick around with a few of you before we start the tourny if anyone else is up for it. Just a quick question here, can you use the Cube pad with this or is it just the Wiimote?

I love a good RPG but the fact is that this game hasnt aged very well. Sure they have gave the games graphics a makeover but the story is pretty much non exsistent and the fact that you cant save in a dungeon on a handheld system is just stupid. Im on raising my job levels at the moment but in order to get max HP in the game I have to try and keep my levels as low as possible until I can get the Blackbelt job class. If I raise them too much then I will miss out on get max HP which would annoy the hell out of me as I like to do RPGs 100% I just got the 3rd Crystal yesterday so just 1 more to go now. Things are getting pretty tough what with me having a low levelled team but Im sure I will manage somehow....

Finally started to play FFIII again after finding out a nice and easy, although tedious, way to level up your Jobs.

Congrats on beating one of the greatest RPGs around. You are right though, there is still plenty for you to do. The bounty missions are an awesome addition to the Cube version and I recommend to everyone that they get involved with them. -
Although I enjoyed the game, apart from them kids singing at the end of every level, it wasnt a patch on Yoshis Island.
-
Put it this way, if you loved the Cube version ( like me ) then you will love this version aswell. The reviews are saying that its basically the same but with a few tweaks here and there with the added bonus of an online mode. If this is the case then IMO it is going to be a great game.

Personally I like the KH franchise more than the FF one. I enjoy FF games dont get me wrong but I like having a continuing story with characters that you learn to love.

All that is needed is a topic in the Online Board for discussions about the games we have and then a table of results and stats can be posted either at the start of that topic or in a new topic in the High Scores Board.

What about that car game ( Driving Emotion Type-S ) on the PS2 they made, that was butt ugly.

Sounds like a great idea and I would certainly be up for it. I will have to practice alot due to me sucking at the Cube version, my nephew always use to beat me on it.

Sorry Stef but apparently it isnt at a set place. What I done was reset all the bosses and then got all of the Los bosses on the map again. I then just went on the freeway area and walked around alot, loads came by so I just blew one up with a rocket launcher and then carried it back to the Agency.

That is a freaking outrage. Why put a game like P.E. on a mobile when it begs for a PS3/Wii/360 release??!! Where the hell is Dom? I want to know his thoughts on this annoucement.

lol Git, I was driving around ages in that thing. Your data got wiped you say? Guess thats karma for you Just impounded all of the cars now, most annoying was that Baggage Carrier. What in the hell are they doing on top of an oil rig?
-
Yeah I posted about it on the previous page. Apparently if you play co-op mode you may lose your data. Im expecting to lose mine after this afternoon as I have been on co-op, Im afraid to switch the game off. EDIT: Where the hell do you do the stockpile mini mission? EDIT2: Went on many a forum and found out, no matter.
-
Lies! I did it morning. Also beat all of the time trail missions again with my mate this afternoon. I finally managed to beat all the normal races aswell due to having the Agent Supercar at my disposal, makes a mockery of the race times it does.
-
I refuse to play against Moria, that is all
-
Thats what was initially thought but some guy got a rank of King of Silence so we have figured that you must have to make lots of noise on those sound penelty missions. I have been redoing them the past few days but keeping just 1 chance left before I end the mission, still hasnt worked though. I will crack it as I hate have unlocked things on my games.

Im on trying to impound all the cars now, only need a few more and I havent turn the gangs back on yet. The ones I got already having just been sitting in the gangs bases that I liberated. I Need that Baggage Carrier to finish off the civilians cars.
