  1. Football Season 2010/11

    Not as bad as Villa; that ball's been rolling since 1997/98. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Aston_Villa/Aston_Villa.htm The away kits are as bad. They never used that third kit from 2007/08.
  2. Playing the kids for lulz. But it doesn't matter with crazy tactics and kids: You at home + My away form all season = Dysonian triumph.
  3. Really sorry I haven't been able to do them. I told Haden I could do them because "I've got nothing going on.", and guess what happened... I really don't think I can do the reports anymore. I might be able to finish the awards, though, so I'll make sure that I at least do those.
  4. Football Season 2010/11

    I don't know if you realise this, but I detest Birmingham City Football Club. I'm never going to 'take it on the chin' nor am I going to shut up about it. If I don't say anything else here, you can bet I'm spewing out more bile about my club's most hated rivals somewhere else.
  5. Football Season 2010/11

    You're not a Villa fan either, definitely not. Go down to New Street and see how many more Blues shirts you see now, as the rest of the Blues fans are starting to come out of the woodwork. You didn't see or hear these buggers 15 years ago when they were winning the Auto Windscreens Shield. Another reason why the 90s were so good. Still, at the end of the day, they've got to win 3 more League Cups, along with...7 FA Cups, 7 League titles and...I think I'm missing something here...oh, yes...1 European Cup and 1 Super Cup before they're even on the same level as the real Pride of Brum. They're not even on the same level as the Yam-Yams.
  6. Round 4 The Sixty-Fourthers 1 - 1 Intergalactico Stars Now that the pressure of continuing an impressive winning streak had been lifted, it seemed that Inter were now planning to relax a little more. It looked that way, with only two chances in this game from the visitors. Inter were leading going into half-time after Aurelius blasted a free-kick straight past Karge and in on 42. However, 64ers went into the second half searching for a way back, and got their equaliser with a superb long-range shot courtesy of Razzazi just after the hour mark. Rising Phoenix 5 - 1 AFC ReZs Rabies Well, I suppose Nexus knew a Phoenix win was never in doubt. Within 25 minutes Phoenix were 3-0 up with goals from Bolam, Eklind and Piquet, scoring from 50% of their chances made in the first half. Phoenix were also dominant in the second half. However, Rabies had also found their shooting boots and managed to pull one back on 59 with a shot from Mansson. Fourteen minutes later, and the three-goal cushion was restored with Lorimer scoring his fifth of the season. Then Bolam scored his second on 80, Rabies found no way back and the ten minutes dragged on for them. Emo Blades 0 - 2 Cubic County The misery continues to pile on Jayseven and his team of Blades, with their fans who might feel like doing something harmful with a blade at this stage of the season. Though goalless at the break, County made the most of their chances and were in front less than ten minutes after the restart with Harley breaking the deadlock on 53. Another fifteen minutes passed before Harley bagged his brace to seal the points and heap more misery on the doomed Blades, who must now be bookies' favourites for the drop. Hammerboys FC 0 - 3 Recall United Perhaps somewhat of an unexpected result, this one. But it's not uncommon for the newly-promoted teams to find themselves going down to a team who flirted with relegation last season. This game started off slow, and somewhat brutal. Within 13 minutes, three players had been cautioned and one had to be taken off due to injury. Recall had been producing more chances, but perhaps Hammerboys were hoping to survive the first half then come out strong for the second. That wasn't to be, as on 44, Gers scored to break the deadlock to give Recall a 1-0 advantage at half-time. To concede at half-time is always hard to take, and perhaps Hammerboys didn't take this well, as Recall took dominance in the second half and had put the game to bed nine minutes into the second half with the previously booked Hollingdale doubling Recall's lead. Though Gers got his second on 69, many probably thought this one was done after the second goal. Madpool 4 - 0 Eights United Madpool get back to their winning ways at the expense of Eights United. Madpool were out of the blocks early and, in eight minutes, were ahead with Hiles finishing after Madpool countered an Eights attack. Ten minutes later, and it was Hales, not Hiles, who got 'Pool's second with a nice long-range shot. The third came on thirty-three with Hales taking a shot from a Quintal pass in the penalty area. It looked to be no way back for Eights, and Madpool seemed to notice this, as they took their foot off the accelerator in the second-half and sat back. However, that didn't stop Archie Gay getting his head onto a Stanley Trainer cross and making it four on 53. However, Gay was hurt badly within a clumsy challenge and will miss the next two games. Most Important Result - Madpool 4 - 0 Eights United. Madpool bounce back and Eights falter after looking promising in the last two rounds. Turned on the Style - Madpool. Recovered from last round's defeat at the expense of a team performing surprisingly well. Player of the Day - Darren Bolam (Rising Phoenix) Two goals against a pitiful Rabies side. I should have Round 5 up tomorrow. Emphasis on 'should'.
  7. Football Season 2010/11

    Great match last night. Barcelona are always a joy to watch but I was rooting for Arsenal. (Preparation for the Carling Cup Final.)
  8. Round 3 - EIGHTEEN AND ONE, DEADMAN! Cubic County 4 - 0 Intergalactico Stars The 18-match winning streak was brought to an end in this unexpected result. Most would have expected the new blood to get the three points against the veterans. However, any hopes faded when Vihko opened the scoring on 20. Inter didn't get a chance on goal in the first half, but made a few in the second. However, hope began to fade on the 63-minute mark when Nash was taken off injured and replaced by Volkoff, making his first appearance this season. Two minutes later, and County extended their lead with a breakaway chance: McGreal passed to Harley, who made no mistake and put the ball past Coysh. McGreal then turned from goalmaker to goalscorer with a quick brace on 83 and 86. His second assisted by Maupas, who wasn't expected to play this round. An abrupt end to Inter's incredible streak. 18-1. Is that a sign of things to come at WrestleMania XXVII? Rising Phoenix 4 - 0 Emo Blades As the nWo suffered defeat, Nexus claimed a thrilling victory, which sees Phoenix rise to the top of the Middle League. The goals came from the skipper Lorimer, who provided the only goal of the first half. Then added his second to double Phoenix's lead four minutes after the restart. The second brace was from striker Bolam, who had already assisted Lorimer with his first goal. Bolam then scored his first goal of the season on 73 before finishing the rout on 80. Emo Blades were dreadful in this one, and this hammering means they've already conceded 10 goals this season. Blades are now favourites for the drop unless they can kickstart their season and get something - just a point could do - against Cubic County on Tuesday. Eights United 3 - 1 The Sixty-Fourthers After a poor opening day performance, Eights have bounced back and climb into third place with this result. Eights peppered The 64ers goal with shots and finally found the net on 20 with a header by Ianuzzi. Fjellbekk, who was having a good game, was taken off on 32 due to injury and was replaced by Brodal. Brodal then turned into supersub and made it 2-0 just seconds before half-time. The 64ers pulled one back on the hour mark when Osman struck after a corner. But Eights continued to create chances and restored their two-goal lead with a breakaway chance finished off by Capwell on 74. AFC ReZs Rabies 2 - 2 Recall United In their opening fixture last week, Recall United scored a late equaliser to get a share of the spoils. This week, the shoe was on the other foot. They ought to have put the game to bed when Deacon (13) and Hollingdale (23) put them 2-0 up, despite the match looking even up to that point. However, ReZs team weren't going to keel over, and captain Hallerstrom became inspiration for their fightback when he scored on 30. The game remained equal, with equal chances for both teams, but Recall were in the lead. The points looked to be theirs. But, in the 93rd minute. A last-gasp chance for Rabies. Hallerstrom passed to Messiah and Messiah took the shot. Bowling could do little to stop it and ReZs team picked up a late, late point. The game was split down the line. A draw was the best result. Recall will be gutted about the late goal, but must regroup and make sure this doesn't happen again. Hammerboys FC 3 - 2 Madpool Madpool were looking strong going against a team predicted to struggle this season. But one should always be wary of away fixtures. It was a shock when the home side scored first, a shot after a corner by Blanco on 24. But, to the critics, normal service resumed when Madpool were awarded a free-kick and scored with the set-piece two minutes later. Hadley being set-up by Trainer. All square going into the break with few chances in that half. But more was to come in the second period. Hammerboys made seven chances in this half. It was one chance on 69 where they retained the lead, with Myhill's head finding Lilley's cross and the ball finding the net. Another free-kick was awarded to Madpool on 80, and Trainer set up Carey to put Madpool level again. However, it was Hammerboys' turn to respond quickly, and Myhill scored again with another header two minutes later. Madpool couldn't find a way back, and suffered their first defeat of the season. Most Important Result - Cubic County 4 - 0 Intergalactico Stars. The 18-match winning streak is dead. Turned on the Style - Rising Phoenix. Good way to bounce back from last round's defeat and perch on the top spot of the league. Player of the Day - Dougie McGreal (Cubic County). Two goals and one assist means McGreal is mostly responsible for Inter's defeat.
  9. Guitar Hero Franchise Axed?!

    Guitar Hero had been dead to me since 2009. The last truly great Guitar Hero game was the Rocks The 80s expansion game - Harmonix's last. GH3 was good, but it felt like nothing much had changed to it, apart from making it even more difficult than the HOPO-free first one. I did truly enjoy GH4 for about a month, then I got Rock Band 2 and my mind was FUCKING BLOWN. Rock Band 3 has shown to everyone that Harmonix were intent on pushing the genre forward and making new stuff for it. The Pro Mode is truly amazing and I can't wait to get a Pro Guitar, which will hopefully be very, very soon. It's a shame it's likely 3 will be the last one, but fuck me in the shitter if it isn't an incredible swansong. 'Twas mine too, until I did the Endless Setlist 2 and got all 4 of them for it. :awesome: I can't believe it's been 3 years since I became inhuman.
  10. Marshall Bain is a massive bastard.
  11. Round 2 - When the home grounds became fortresses! Intergalactico Stars 2 - 1 Rising Phoenix The first Nexus versus New World Order battle of the middle league. Inter were planning to continue a brilliant winning streak, while Phoenix hoped to bring that run to a grinding halt and give a currently unstable Nexus a victory over their rivals. Inter's streak looked to be in jeopardy when Phoenix struck first blood inside the opening three minutes courtesy of a Parsons shot in the penalty area. If fans thought Inter were to be reeling back from such a powerslam, they'd be very, very wrong. Two minutes later and Inter were level. Forlan's head connecting with a cross-in from Slick, guided the ball past Jerimo. The first half ended square, with 2 chances each. However, Inter came out fighting in the second half and took the lead on 63 when Shawn Michaels crossed in and it found the head of his WrestleMania 25 and 26 opponent - Mark Undertaker. Inter were able to hold on for the three points and make it 18 straight wins to 0 defeats. 18-0. Eights United 4 - 0 Cubic County A far, far better performance from Eights United, in their first home match of the season, against one of the Original Seven from that very first season. Eights were creating chances minutes into the game, and had three good chances within thirteen minutes. The fourth chance in the fourteenth minute was when the deadlock broke, with Hilmo's shot putting Eights in the lead. On 17, Kinsella was booked for brutal play, and the resulting free kick was taken by Gresdahl, who aimed it straight into the net to double the lead. Things began to get worse for County when talismanic captain Maupas was substituted due to injury. Though he wasn't having a great game, County were lost without their skipper and crumbled as Eights pressed on. Another freekick straight into the goal by Gresdahl made it three. Then Yusri, assist to the opener, scored to put the game to bed. Any County fans hoping for a Newcastle United style comeback in the second half were to be deeply disappointed. And so were many other fans as the game petered out into nothing after the restart. However, Eights will be very happy with their first-half display and the win. Madpool 3 - 1 Recall United Madpool maintained a bright start with this win. Though Recall played a 5-3-2 formation, the strong-numbered defence didn't perform well, and somehow allowed Archie Gay to take a shot in the penalty area and thus open the scoring on 16. Another defensive blunder led to a penalty six minutes later. Stanley Trainer stepped up and made it 2-0 on 22. Recall might have thought they were back in it with a penalty on 60, which was converted in by Baddeley. However, Madpool put the game to bed just six minutes later with a set-piece freekick which saw Hiles knock it in. The Sixty-Fourthers 3 - 0 Hammerboys FC Some would question if 64ers set out to weaken their opponents after two Hammerboys players were taken off injured in the first seventeen minutes, but Hammerboys were relatively poor in a match dominated by the home side. Ali Kamal grabbed a brace with two headers on 22 and 43, then Al-Rikabi fired home a superb long-range shot to kickstart 64ers promotion aim. AFC ReZs Rabies 2 - 1 Emo Blades Though both teams played 3 up front, it was perhaps Rabies' extra midfield man in a 3-4-3 formation that proved the difference. However, veteran and Rabies skipper Wiberg was the one to blag the goals that gave his side the win in this one. A header on 37 gave Rabies a 1-0 lead into half-time. Wiberg was cautioned on 47 but came back to score the second on 60. Shannonbridge pulled one back for Blades twelve minutes later but it wasn't enough, and Blades now slip to the bottom without a single point. Most Important Result - Intergalactico Stars 2 - 1 Rising Phoenix. Stretches Inter's winning streak and gives the nWo victory over their Nexus rivals. Turned on the Style - Eights United. A cracking display and victory to bounce back from last round's torrid defeat. Player of the Day - Stanley Trainer (Madpool), scored one and assisted one. You need a midfielder like this in any team.
  12. AFC ReZs Rabies 0 - 2 Madpool Madpool begin their promotion campaign with a convincing win in this first encounter between the two sides. Madpool played a 4-5-1 formation, but it was the midfielders who got their name on the scoresheet. Sedgewick opened the scoring in the 14th minute and then Hiles doubled the lead fifteen minutes later. Rabies just didn't look like getting into it with making only one chance per half. In the second half, Sedgewick turned from hero to villain after being sent off for a second bookable offence. He will miss Tuesday's game at home to Recall United. Rising Phoenix 3 - 0 Eights United This match was a rather easy one for the Nexus side. A 4-3-3 formation paid dividends with Lorimer getting a brace, and Eklind getting the other with Bolam setting him up. Eights United were poor up front and would do better than results like this - and better performances - if they want to remain in the Middle League. Recall United 1 - 1 The Sixty-Fourthers Recall United were saved from relegation after the league restructuring, and were perhaps determined to make use of their second chance. A home game against relegated 64ers wasn't going to be easy, however. There was late, late drama in this one. The 64ers were expected to win this one and even more so when Hagolahi sent a free-kick straight in on 47. It looked like it was a win for 64ers after Dabic was sent off on 89, but the advantage in numbers didn't help within the final minutes, and then Streep tapped in an equaliser in the 93rd minute to rescue a point. Cubic County 0 - 0 Hammerboys FC A boring game with few chances, a no-score draw was highly likely. Hammerboys played a 4-3-3 formation but they could only produce one chance in the whole game. They couldn't rely on Falk as he had a terrible match. County played a 4-4-2 and also had a forward playing badly in Kinsella. Both teams defended very well against poor midfield and offence and there was no chance of breaking the deadlock. Perhaps the only real part of the match to mention is Henrikson's injury on 79 which leaves him out of the next two matches. Intergalactico Stars 4 - 1 Emo Blades Inter continue their long winning streak with their first win in the Middle League. Inter began brightly and opened the scoring in only the second minute with Nash's headed shot. Forlan doubled the lead just under 10 minutes later, then Nash blagged his second on 16. Although Blades got one back two minutes after the restart, they were never going to truly get back into this game. Forlan sealed the points with a long-range effort on 65. Most Important Result - Intergalactico Stars 4 - 1 Emo Blades. Last season's most dominant team continue to be just that. Turned on the Style - Rising Phoenix, good performance against a poor Eights side. Player of the Day - Kevin Nash. Refueled (with Diesel, no less) and back to scoring with two goals in the first game. Will we see more goals from him as the season progresses? Sorry that my match reports aren't as good as Haden's.
  13. And it means I'm staying up as well. Not too happy about it, if I'm honest. *Rips up Middle League plans* The amount of times I've finished a season in a drop zone, but then stayed up due to league restructuring, or a technicality, is more times than I've actually been relegated!
  14. =Music Wars 2= Match 27

    Madness *Fucks off again*
  15. My Change Report was very, very arse. An increase of 4, 1 visible change. I think it's safe to say this new system fucking hates me. Haven't had a single good report since it came in. Rage.
  16. Football Season 2010/11

    I am sad. Very sad indeed. Ah, fuck...I can't believe you've done this!
  17. Rate the last film you saw

    Yellow Submarine Beatles animated film. Being a Beatles fan, enjoyed it a lot. A lot of good humour and a brilliant soundtrack. 8.5 Blue Meanies out of 10 Heard that they're doing a 3D CG remake of this. Make of that how you will.
  18. Football Season 2009/2010

    Everyone forgets that McClaren WAS a good manager. He guided Middlesbrough to their first ever bit of silverware and took them to the UEFA Cup final in an almost similar way to Fulham have done. It was just that he took the England job, perhaps made a mistake by dropping Beckham, things didn't go to plan and he ended up as the Official Scapegoat of Euro 2008. Now he's in the Netherlands mooning at us and yelling "I told you I wash a good manager." I doff my cap to him. Well done, McClaren.
  19. Football Season 2009/2010

    HOLY FUCKING SHIT, FULHAM!
  20. What Would You Save in a Fire?

    My DVDs and/or the anime figure I have. I'm not letting that melt/burn/however PVC figures get affected by fire. Yeah, the figure's made out of PVC. At least that's the only thing in my bedroom made from PVC ifyouknowwhaddimean. Eh? Eh? Nudge, nudge. Say no more. Say no more.
  21. In the words of the Black Knight: "Right, I'll do you for that!"
  22. ^ I might try that one time. Although I wonder two things: A) I haven't tried the crisps yet. Are the crisps as nice as real teriyaki chicken? B) Would real teriyaki chicken be nice in a sandwich? Answers on a banner above the M6 motorway, please.
  23. Football Season 2009/2010

    I don't fancy Villa for fourth; we just don't have the money or squad to compete and we'd most likely end up getting knocked out before the Group Stages. I actually wouldn't mind being knocked out of the CLD2 early next season if it means we can focus on domestic matches and go even further than we did this season.
  24. Football Season 2009/2010

    It wasn't a penalty... LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! :bouncy::bouncy:
