Haha. I would have much rather had a free graphire aswell...........you're lucky to have won that. It's going to be more of an investment really, as I've got to take it to uni and all that if I actually get there. But always, traditional drawing skills are what you need, no tablet can change that.

Like I said in that other Christmas present thread, I was originally going to be getting this. But after my Dad has opted to spend abit more on presents, I'll be getting one of these. I'm also getting it on educational discount, so I can get it for £175 instead of the standard £220 price which helps quite abit really. It makes quite a change for me to get such an expensive gift this Chrimbo, as usually I've always got two computer games. Anyway, I can see Eenuh in the distance looking on in envy at the Intuos.

Makes a change to see Arsenal do so well in Europe.

Answer is there. Can't see them doing it any other way considering what we've heard so far. And doing it another way will most likely bring up compatibility problems with some games, like the 360 has with not being able to play the xbox's whole back-cat.

Acclaim was a different issue. It was mis-management at the top that drove them into the ground. Execs were feeding their own pockets apparently. Also these rights are only for the title in which Acclaim made, not the total rights, in which Midway owns in Mortal Kombats case. So in other words, one could buy ZooCube, then get it re-published (no chance of that though) and reap the royalties. Extreme G looks like it'll be picked up by a bigger company as it's definitely the strongest title from Acclaim before they went tits up.

I've just updated the first post to include trial/learning editions of any available 3D software. I ain't been able to update much recently, as I've not had the time to knuckle down and get anything done. But I'm currently building some sort of environment and so far only the modelling is anywhere near complete. We're also doing lip syncing on a face with a sound clip which we had to record. That should be done by Christmas, as the deadline is fast approaching. There's some snappy work going on here aswell, and I'm loving your texturing on that rock surface darkcloud. And Cube, your modelling on that ship is brilliant.

Yeah.....it was quite a bad idea making Resi4! From this I'm thinking that it's aimed at the EA made Rogue Agent. So in my eyes anyway, it really can't be heralded as a sequel. It was a quick buck from the word "Goldeneye" in the EA boardroom, no matter the quality of the title. For me.......I would like to see sequels to Fahrenheit (although it's very doubtful it'll happen), and Killer7. Both titles stray quite abit from the typical boring titles we see all too often nowdays, and that's mainly my reason why they should have sequels produced. There's no games out there like them at the moment, or for the foreseeable future.

These are mint. I've watched both the Shenmue and the Prince of Persia ones, and neither failed to entertain! :awesome:
-
That's only because it's not aimed at you really. The Sims has always been a game for the casual player, and that's reason enough for its massive success over the years.

Is that quote from IGN then? Or someother place?

I've been hyped about this for a while now, as I haven't purchased a GameCube game since Killer7. Glad to see they never got rid of the outstanding boxart for the EU release, and it looks better in the orange tones instead of the greens which the US boxart had. I've pre-ordered it with play.com, so I'll probably get it in the post this Saturday coming. After this, all that's waiting for me on the GameCube is Zelda:TP.

Yeah, it's true. (shakes fist at lycos)

I don't think that was the point that they were trying to make. In a nutshell they're saying that visually you aren't going to be amazed unless you own a HDTV.....................but we already knew this to some extent. I'll be purchasing a HDTV before I buy either a PS3 or 360, as the TV's we have now really can't show these games at the quality that they were intended to display. It's like having a kick arse PC, but running all your games in 640x480 for example.

Vin Diesel is the only man to ever defeat a brick wall in a game of tennis.

I got a Mars one in the end. Not too shabby I suppose.

Colin replied to Bowser57's topic in General Chit Chat
I added myself. I've also got a problem with where I'm located, so I made a shoutout for you to correct it Bowser. Really good idea aswell. -
Congratulations Mr Odwin. I hope it all goes smoothly for ya.

Nice upperclass calendar you've got there stocka. I'm 20 years old now, so I really don't expect to deal with them anymore...............I couldn't be anymore wrong though, as my Mum always buys us all (kids) calendars every year. I've got no idea what sort it is, but I'll find out tomorrow at somepoint. I kind of wonder when she'll stop buying them!

Is the Cube dissappearing anywhere else?
Colin replied to Mokong's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I did say months and months ago that you wouldn't be able to find any cube games unless you shopped in Game, and even Game are re-thinking their stance on cube meterege. Zelda: TP could be only available online from the looks of it, unless the N gets their next-gen console out around the same time! -
Nah, I was actually mistaken. The other thread was to do with Svt passing his degree thingy!

Goodbye old-timer, and live long and prosper! I don't think I've seen a thread from you since your last one on C-E saying you were leaving because of your new job...........coincidence surely. You will be missed!

Yeah, you're right. Sorry. Everyone initially thought it was purely a TV based comercial, but now it seems apparent that it was aimed at the internet to create a "buzz" like you said. Anyway, check this then, as it's kind of related to the advert. Haha. (I'm loving these new smilies, whooooop) Gun Battle

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but this xbox360 ad was banned in America............. Banned 360 Advert Pretty wrong really, and I can't beleive someone sat at a desk thinking up the idea of portraying videogame violence in a real life setting. It's still a very good advert, but with all the media's eyes currently on videogames, I wouldn't have said it was a great idea personally.

I'm abit late hear, but after reading a certain other thread (points at the 3D one) this thread kind of popped into my head for some reason. And with what you've said above Particle_Man, I totally agree with that proposal, but in the past we've tried to do things like this, but nothing seems to prosper any further. So I thought I should post some eyes aswell. These eyes are taken out of my sketchbook, and are from just a general practice session.
